Maybe Les recruits at to high a level for his own good. Les has a great eye for NFL talent.

I'd just like to know we have more in one year than most other upper caliber SEC teams have in two.
I don't know the answer and apparently nobody here does either.
Tell us where you got those numbers if you really want an explanation.

does everyone else recruit rich kids or something?

I posed this question last week. It's like only LSU has poor kids on its team.

Maybe our kids are poorer than most. It is Louisiana after all.

Louisiana being an exceptionally poor state with a high rate of teen pregnancies may also be a contributing factor.

I don't get it.
If you don't think this trend a problem for LSUs success I don't what to tell you.

Why such a wide margin between rest of the conference is my question.

This is about as intellectually dishonest as you can get.

Ok. What if we assume this is a problem? What do you propose we do about it? This is one of those things that people love to bitch about bc there is no solution.

I guess we can recruit worse players and do our best not to coach them up until their senior season?

What about not starting a thread evertime a former LSU football player records an NFL stat. You realize how much love a player gets after he leaves LSU and how little he gets while a player at LSU?!?!?!

The rant hates LSU

There are only two answers to the "problem" of unpaid interns getting paying gigs.
1) Deception/Deceit - do not let them know their earning potential. Blackmail/Extortion.

2) Pay them to stay.

The op is full of shite.

I think this proves what I have felt all along. At some point we stopped paying players. Prob after the hicks incident.

The OP didnt say anything about underclassmen players leaving, just 18 players left LSU for the NFL.

So players that were hurt this year shouldnt be counted as players that were on / made teams?? Right right

Simon - impressed the entire seahawks team during camp and would of seen PT this year, got hurt, IR.

Montgomery - Screwed up a lot. Still a 3rd round pick. Signed to the raiders.

Faulk - basically given a "redshirt" year to heal.

Wing - a punter with an attitude problem... of course he would have trouble finding a team. Still on a team though.

And you said that we have players that think they are NFL caliber players, insinuating that our players that left fizzled out and didnt make a team. And thats not true at all.

Uh, if they're not underclassmen, that's called "graduating", not "leaving".

Les Miles is more honest with his players.

I posted my thoughts on this last week. I think there could be something to this. He sits on the coldest seat in college football, and he cares more about his players and family than winning nattys. It's more than a mere possibility that he gives the most objective, player-centered analysis of any coach in the game when it comes to talking with a kid about his future. Another positive for our program that, for whatever reason, isn't talked about within our fan base.

This thread should be nothing but positives--and I truly believe it is for the majority of the Tiger fan base. Unfortunately, a negative spin always finds it place amongst this chatter. It's almost funny if you think about it: The LSU football program has produced more NFL talent that any other university...and some of our fans are disappointed. SMH.

Yea well read the OP. Nothing about underclassmen. If hes only talking about underclassmen, then his #s are off.
