Can't disagree. Although not every kid falls in this category...but if you follow any of these guys on twitter/instagram, you'll see all they care about is money.

Most likely they don't feel they can improve their stock to make more money. That falls on coaching, unfortunately. One only has to look at Bama to know this is true. They respect Saban and so the plethora of talent there has confidence they can develop to 1st rounders.

I see this two ways, Les Miles is superior with recognizing talent and recruiting, but lacks ability to get these kids to truely maximize and utilize their skillset to where it results in W's on the field.
The first few years of Miles' career at LSU, it seems as though he was a coach who was hungry and driven. Now, it seems as though he's just satisfied with complacency. We've had NFL type talent throughout Miles' entire tenure. With the type of talent we've had, there's no reason why we shouldn't have won at least one more NC and couple more SEC titles.

No secret to the NFL that LA produces highest per capita.
It would stand to reason that LSU would have high percentage of that talent, and thus, more than anyone else leaving early.
Although I think the reputation weighs heavily in their selection sometimes, which works for and against us.
LSU will have to sign only ready to perform players from now on. Projects are a thing of the past, and will fall mostly to the second tier schools.

I'd just like to know we have more in one year than most other upper caliber SEC teams have in two.

Well last year had 6 out of 12 go in the first 3 rounds.
And I think the # 18 is last year plus this years group combined. So we dont know where they will go, but we can speculate. OBJ, Landry, Hill, and maybe Mett will in the 1st 3 rounds. So thats 10 out of 18. Pretty solid.

It's not the sheer numbers that sets LSU apart. It's the percentages. Some teams lose 90% of their draft-ready juniors but have one or two who come back. Those one or two can make a HUGE difference.
Ask yourself what 'Bama would have been like without CJ Mosely last year? What would LSU have been like with Kevin Minter?
LSU is not only losing a huge number of juniors to the NFL, it's losing more than 100% of the juniors expected to declare. Brad Wing? Trai Turner? These guys weren't on anybody's radar. Other talents like Michael Brockers, Bennie Logan and Kevin Minter came out of nowhere and played themselves into NFL futures.
The bottom line it this. Kudos to the kids turning down a year of unpaid state internships to make money. Kudos to the coaching staff for evaluating and developing talent better than anyone else in the country. LSU football is strong.
If LSU could keep just one or two of those unpaid interns on campus, LSU would field a much more dominant team.
