That throwing motion has strip sack written all over it.

Hopefully that is getting changed.

He wants to redshirt, but he's ahead of what a lot of believe him to be. He's a smart kid that puts in the work to be prepared and he knows how to win. Who knows what type of opportunity he will have in the future, near or far, but he will be ready to step in and play.

Led a major Texas high school to back to back state titles. I think its safe to say that McMillan is a gamer. He will not blow you away with his physical talents, however.

If we're turning to a true freshman QB who's #3 on the depth chart, then the season's fricked anyway.

JK said all off-season that he looked the most natural of the three

Semi-valid point, but I don't think that's really something you want to emulate...unless of course you are built like a brick shithouse for a qb and run a spread offense that limits free runs at the QB.

With that being said, my initial comment isn't meant to be taken as a knock on the kid. Clearly the staff sees something in him, otherwise he wouldn't be here. I just figure the coaching staff will need to adjust that moving forward because it is not ideal.

It's almost always better to be able to play a RSSo or Junior as opposed to true sophomores and RSFr.

Here we go again.

Manziel and Jameis say hi. This year, true freshman Josh Rosen from UCLA says hi.

Of course I'd rather have a QB with experience, but it's not required. If guys have talent and are coached well, they can play early, and play well. If I did the research, I'd find a bunch of other young QBs with little experience that play very well.

Who's "JK?" Use names, please. Skip the initials nonsense, unless you've typed a real name earlier in the post.

I would think he will provide quality depth for us at QB and not much more

probably not that close to game ready, but I think he's going to be a lot better than people realize

+1. Most Louisiana folks do not realize what it takes to be a 2 year starter at program that is the size of Cedar Hill, and then to lead that program to back to back state titles in 5A/6A. He could very well end up being a Matt Flynn type of guy who comes in, balls out for a short period of time after waiting a while to get his time. His high school stats against really stiff high school competition sold me.
