Speaking of the 06 team, does anyonw know if LaRon Landry will return to playing now that his suspension is just about finished?

The 2006 game was completely fixed. The only people that disagree were Auburn fans. I remember people talking about it around the country how bad it was. That was one of the 1st huge exposures on how bad the SEC officiating is. Of course there were prior examples, but I remember it was a hot topic after the 06 game.

They were talking about it here in PHX, so it was nationwide. That same day though, was the Oklahoma/Oregon game where the OU recovered a fumble and they gave it to Oregon. Those may have also been SEC refs.

Steve Shaw I believe was the head ref in both the 2004 and 2006 games. gump asshat.

No. He was not.

Although Shaw now oversees the entire apparatus that is the bogus SEC Officiating Joke, when he was a ref, he was top notch.

Man I miss the day we blamed the refs rather than every person involved in LSU football

Oh we still do plenty of ref blaming, no need to worry about that.

5 or 6 blatant calls that went Auburn's way. Anytime we made a play, out came the flags. I have zero doubt it was fixed. That was an NC caliber team that was denied. Still makes my blood boil thinking about it. frick Auburn.

Agree totally. That game was stolen from LSU by the officials. The play that made me the most angry (and still does) was Hester's catch for a first down and fumble out of bounds that was ruled incomplete. Had we just gotten that one call, I feel certain LSU would have won the game, in spite of all the other horrible calls.

The second worst called game in my mind was 2014 LSU-Alabama. The b.s. personal foul penalty on Vadal Alexander when the Gumps had clearly instigated it (should have been offsetting), and the numerous P.I. infractions that Alabama was allowed to get away with, including in the OT period.

Oh, but don't dare bring that up to the "genius" Matt Moscona. He thinks it's LSU's fault when they can't overcome Alabama/Auburn PLUS the biased officiating. He doesn't believe there is EVER biased officiating for Alabama or Auburn.

When it's warranted (and it is a lot of the time), yes, Tiger fans WILL address it.

Ever notice when we play games without SEC officials, the officiating is a million times better?

then he is a moron. I do not listen to him but thanks for letting me know now i never will. If there waa ever a justified bitch it was what we called ................GRAND THEFY AUBURN...aka 2006 game. there were 8 game changing calls/no calls that screwed us. I am not really sure how a team is supposed to overcome that in the SEC ON THE ROAD AGAINST A TOP 10 TEAM!

I think the reason people feel that way is fans have cried wolf for so long when we actually do get screwed like auburn 2006 and bama 2009 it falls on deaf ears. How could a replay official miss petersens INT in 2009? isn't that why we have replay now? to stop that shite?

I do know this.......the replay official at Bama in 2009 was dick burleson.......he used to ref bama practices. let that sink in. now we know why the PP INT was not called correctly AFTER replay.

Moscona is a self-important blowhard who thinks he knows everything. Perhaps three or four hours of his show each week are really worth listening to, mostly when he has interesting guests on who actually know something. Moscona's show could be cut to one hour each afternoon, and it wouldn't lose anything. When he has nothing else to talk about, he tries being a comedian, which I can assure him, he is not (at least not a funny one).

Yes, no doubt. I also enjoy it when Alabama has to submit to non-SEC officials when they play in a bowl game. They are so used to SEC officials giving them the benefit of the doubt, they almost can't seem to handle it when a game is evenly called by the officials. It's actually refreshing to watch a game with non-SEC officials.

Holy crap, I watched just a few more offensive plays from that game and it was like watching a normal football team for the first time in all these years. Like 4 wide receiver sets and everything!

Yeah, probably the most frustrating game to watch in the last 12 seasons from an officiating standpoint.

Not really. It's just that some so-called LSU fans (like Moscona, for example) want the true LSU fans to just bend over and take it when we get jobbed by the SEC officiating in games against Alabama and Auburn. Alabama has gotten away with more holding than any team I've seen over the last 15 years.

Truth. Most games have some bad calls but only a very few are so bad as to warrant real complaint.

Bama went like 10 games without a holding call a while back. So amazing.

Anyone recall the 2006 Tennessee game? LSU won so it gets forgotten, but there was a punt LSU recovered after being touched by the Tenn returner. Even after replay the refs ruled it hadn't been touched by the returner even after it clearly changed trajectory in mid-air. Which is impossible unless it was touched.
