Why would Divinity want to go to A&M of all places? After all the stuff going on over there recently it just doesn't make sense why a Louisiana kid who has been committed to us for this long and change his mind at the last minute for a school that we have beat the last 5 times we have played. I guess I don't know what exactly what is said or done behind closed doors but it just doesn't add up to me. He must not want to be a tiger deep down so I guess he may just become tiger bait. If anyone can give me an answer as to why this young man all of a sudden changed his mind please inform me. Thanks, Merry Christmas, and Geaux Tigers!

I am completely baffled, not that I am an expert in anyway.

Someone in the other thread said he is trying to get his best friend and offer from either us or them so they can play together. That's the only plausible explanation.

If it is the case I say offer his buddy no matter how bad he is, that's how bad we need a LB, and I am one who believes if they aren't 100% LSU let them go. This is an exception.

Meh I would never want to do this for a particular player, but since we BADLY need LBs on our team, I might make an exception. I agree with you.

Yes I have always been if you aren't all for the Tigers than hit the road but you are right this is a must commit for us and we need to pull out all the stops for this one

I don't even care anymore. College sports are a joke all around.

I agree that it is hard to care about recruiting anymore but college athletics is not a joke if it was a joke we wouldn't have that miraculous thing called Death Valley that packs in 100,000 plus people

Recruiting is not for the faint of heart. I've learned that the hard way. 18 year olds change their mind minutes before signing letters of intent. With all that happened with the King/Alleva fiasco, other programs have a list of reasons to sell negativity towards attending LSU. I hope the staff is up for it.

Maybe I am just biased but I think LSU has much more to pitch to this kid than A&M

Agreed. Administration has no one to blame but themselves for the fiasco that unfolded the last few weeks of the reg season and which will hang over this program for quite a while. IF LSU struggles at all next year, we will find ourselves in the same situation with the same rumors, etc and other programs will CONTINUE to use it against LSU on the recruiting trail. Sad state of affairs.

Oh! OK. Let's give him whatever he wants. Now and in the future.

You have to admit we need to lose the whole Death Valley thing with it becoming corporate the outside of the stadium is closer to Death Valley than the inside
