Usually Christmas day. John Diarse is probably the leading candidate.

Look, I understand the kid is a good player but I don't see him taking Mr. Football if he didn't make the All-State team. If you aren't considered one of the best in 4-A how can anyone vote you the best player in the entire state.

Theres a difference between a top level LSU prospect and Mr Football. Just because youre one doesnt mean youre the other.

But John Diarse says hello

Damian Williams has a chance as well.

That's who my money's been on the entire time. I was referring to the Speedy Noil kid 504 keeps bringing up. He didn't make 4A All-State so there is no way he wins Mr. Football.

Soulja is just repping his boys. That's his job on here.

I figured that. I'm doing the same thing. John and his dad call football games for me so I've got to know them a good but over the past few years.

You cannot go wrong giving Mr. Football to John. He has represented Neville High School very well on and off the field, and embodies everything you look for in a student athlete. I think he will continue to do the same for our beloved Tigers!

And no, I am not from Neville or Monroe!

The voters are fickle. Sometimes it's the best player in the state/college prospect. Sometimes it's a kid that is a great high school player, but isn't really a prospect, see Miller from Iota and Gavin Webster from Lutcher. So honestly Noil might win it. It could be Duke Riley. I can't remember anyone winning that wasnt a senior though so I doubt Willis, Quinn, or Fournette win it.

ETA: Noil is a junior, so add him to the doubtful list.

That doesnt fit Noil because he will be rated higher than Diarse is this year.

I would be shocked if Diarse didnt win the award. The only other contenders in my opinion are Trey Quinn and Leonard Fournette.

Nothing surprises me when the media is involved. They could say Diarse was the best, but Noil beat him in the Dome. Who knows what they'll do?

Speedy accounted for like 4000 plus yards and over 47 TD's Passing, running and receiving. That's why I say he should be a candidate. Also is a State champion

Let me go on record saying if John Diarse wins it I wouldn't be upset because he is the truth.

From what I know about John, he would gladly trade a Mr. Football title for that ring that Speedy will get!

You have to at least make first team All-State to be considered for Mr. Football.
Noil was honorable mention.
