This. Preseason #1 and if we have a top 5 class next year, you'll be the first to praise the coaches. Go away

I am gonna disagree with you, we are deep in most positions and that factors in on a recruit's decision. We got a great class last year and as long as we pull a good class next year and especially in 2014 we are gonna be competing for a NC every 3-4 years...I can say we got KWON and Corey late and also pulled Liggins...so if you are gonna say the recruiting was off this year you also gotta give credit where it's due...

No I'm not

There are quite a few players I'm excited about. Go read the thread I made a week or 2 ago

I'm fine with that.

As long as we also give them credit for bringing in a top 10 class.

It's just a tough line to walk.

Agreed.

It's still solid.

So you blame coaches for the decisions kids make. You can't FORCE someone to go to said school. What could they have done different to keep this kids in state?

Cause a kid to break up with his girlfriend?
Tell players at said school to be happy they lost the NCG?

A vajayjay bleeding this much needs more than your standard tampon. I recommend Tampax maxi-thins super.

Yes.

But this will get whacked.
You will be hounded relentlessly for stating the truth on this board. They will follow you around in every thread to serve up alternate realities.

We filled a lot of needs and we are bringing in some stud linebackers.

what about the needs at DT and a pass-rushing DE? we did get a QB, but a project. we failed to get a big WR

it wasn't a horrible class, but it wasn't amazing. and ignoring teh team rankings, our poor showing in LA is worrisome. mismanaging miller's situation is worrisome

I agree, a top 10-12 class is unexcusable. We should have 25 5 stars, no exceptions.

I trust this staff when it comes to evaluating a HS player's potential.

i don't think people are criticizing the evaluation

Look at guys like Mo, HB7, and Logan. None of them were world beaters coming out of HS.

yes but we can't ignore the fact that LSU was recruiting davis, kiel, collins, miller, etc, either. obviously the staff had a very good evaluation on these guys, too (or we wouldn't have tried so hard)

We filled some needs, I'm thrilled about the LB position for the future. But we missed out on some really big fish and had some turn on us late due to poor performances on the field. Some of them had their own reasons I'm sure but you can't deny that some of it is related to whats happened with the program in the last month.

we lost guys to major programs with depth (except maybe the kiel situation at ND), so this argument doesn't fly

I rarely post here, but when does a team with a top 15 class deserves criticism? Don't let the media outlet hype you about recruits when LSU has proving to bring in 3 star recruits that turn out to be All- Americans. We are extremely blessed that the majority of the positions on our team are deep with underclassmen. I hate how some of our fans are so fair-weathered. Get off the ledge or just jump!

I agree. Despite the top 10-13 class it feels like they could have done better.

Blame doesn't go to the fans or former players, that's ridiculous. It goes on the coaching staff, period

Disagree. Coaches are not the only factors that influence a kids decision on where to go.

You want to discuss how much they factor into it sure, but there is some factors like these that are outside a coaches control.

Yea. We had some big misses in this year's class. Hopefully the projects we've taken pan out.

exactly. in-state fish at that

i'm worried about CB, WR, and pass-rushing DE looking forward (and by that i mean the 2013 season)
