Figured he’d jump for the chance to come back and play for Bo Diddley. I thought he showed some potential to be a solid back up when he got opportunities.

Purdue game last year
He wasnt awful
But of course Purdue’s entire team was in the portal

Hes not good and we've had him for 3 years to see that much. No disrespect to him as he was a team first kid but we need to improve on top of having kids leave. No sense wasting either party's time or space. Best for both sides. His best contribution here was at C.

Sad to see Louisiana guys go. But you’re going tk see Guys that would have been able to play in 2023 come onto this roster soon.

This board’s obsession with Fitzgerald west is something I will simply never understand. We are in major need of scholarship spots right now, and fitz West never had a chance at any point to ever be an sec-caliber starter. He’s short with a soft body - that’s just not what SEC linemen look like on either side of the ball.
I absolutely wish him the best—I’d love to see him crush it at a lower level—but sec football is not for him.

I’m normally all for staying at a school and progressing. There are cases where a player could go somewhere else for a fresh start. West is just somewhere in between a DLine and OLine when competing at LSU.

I wonder what happened to him. Injury issues this year or just not good. Guys like tygee hill and Langston played mop up duty before him. I can’t remember him playing this past year.

he visited ULL, he's not really SEC caliber. Given LSU's need for DL, they wouldn't let him walk if he could be a serious contributor.
