I'll be pissed if we lose Franks. He's going to be good wherever he goes.

I do think he is one of the better QB coaches and OCs.

Actually, it would still be a major surpise to me since I consider Franks one of the most solid commitments we have.

A lot hinges on our QB play this year. Another bad year by our QB's and he maybe has a change of mind

I guess you could say that. I feel that we'll have at worse adequate QB play this year. I like the improvement from Harris and I don't think Miles would hesitate on starting him considering this is a crucial year for LSU and that now his knowledge of the offense is at least respectable. I think he'll grow like JT Barrett did last year. He may have to slay some demons early on in the likes of MSU (just missed beating them last year) and Auburn (they took him to school and had him a nervous wreck), but by the game at USCe, he should be revved up.

I really believe Harris, Fournette, and Dupre will all be top 5 at their position in the SEC next year.

I said in my thread that he may be a gamer which means a winner.

LSU needs a breakout QB now and FF is raw and he may very well be the best ever at LSU. But we could sign a second QB to hedge our bet

Franks isn't raw as hell though. He fixed that baseball throwing motion into a quicker release. His mechanics have improved tremendously and will continue to do so before he gets on campus. He already has the size and athleticism needed to succeed. I don't think he's nearly the project that some on here make him out to be.

If LSU can find another high level QB who wants to come to Baton Rouge, you don't turn him down obviously. I like the guys we have right now though.

Exactly. I see him in the Jameis Winston mold myself. He doesn't have a ton to work on and he already plays under center. I think he'll be ready as a redshirt freshman, but if Harris stays til his senior year, we won't need him until he's a polished redshirt sophomore.

I can't see UF being a serious challenge, that program is a dumpster fire right now, and I don't see their new coach turning things around anytime soon.
