Hurts is not an early entry caliber QB. He may not even be an NFL qb at all. If he is an early entry QB, he may be the first in Alabama history (just off the top of my head, I can't think of another one). I can barely think of an Alabama QB in the NFL period.

It does if they are working within their own set of rules. No other explanation. ??

Saban could care less about a qb's NFL draft stock!!! He only cares about winning at his level. Too many people, coaches, and so on get to tied up in this shite.
Look at the titles won by LSU, Bama, and auburn. Other than Cam very few translated well into the NFL. Sure Flynn had a great career in the NFL as a back up, but the rest where nothing much at all other than Cam.

It's alabama. Explain any of their off the charts recruiting over the last 7 years

It's truth. Like how two local Louisiana LBs are going to Bama where there is tons of heavy competition instead of LSU where they'd probably play early and often.

I read on another free website that Kiffin had been recruiting Tua for years and they were close. The feeling was ,he would go to LSU with Kiffin if he went to be OC at LSU.

No he's looking around because the money is starting to come out. Also if you are a QB and Mike Gundy comes a callin' would you not at least listen to him?

Everybody relax. The kid is from Bay St. Louis. LSU will get him. The Gulf Coast is LSU territory it's the frickin NOLA suburbs.

What are you babbling about?

My only reference to NFL was concerning the availability of playing time if/when Hurts leaves. So I see your triple exclamation points and raise you one!!!!

Totally agree with you, but then again Hurts is the first freshman QB to start at Bama under Saban also.

Not today, but in 2 years you don't know that. What we do know is Saban doesn't start freshman QB's but Hurts is starting and he is doing well enough to be talked about in the Heisman race.

If balks at =
No warning
No visit
3 coaches visit other QB
Learning all this from the media

Then I guess you're right.

Knowledge is power.

None of those things have anything to do with the NFL. It's also irrelevant to the thread.

The whole purpose of that topic coming up was that someone mentioned that Tua would start as a redshirt sophomore after Hurts leaves early for the NFL.

That very well could happen. Would I advise someone to choose a school based on that potentially happening? No.

What is relevant pertaining to what you stated in your original post is this;

Hurts is the first freshman QB to start for Saban - does that mean he is a lock to the NFL? Absolutely not, but considering his success this year and if he continues that success there are good possibilities that he could leave early for the NFL. How many 4 year starters do you see on Bama? Meaning that most are coached up so well they don't stay 4 years if they were a starter when they were a freshman. And that does pertain to going to the NFL.

So it is just another thing to put into the equation if you are Tua and that is you might not have to wait behind Hurts until you are a senior!

I'm sure they're a few that are worse Tua will be a Junior by the time he has a chance to start if Hurts keeps it going.

What I think is interesting is Tua said he is committed to Alabama but will discuss the LSU offer over with his family. I'm not saying he is coming but at least this means something or someone has gotten in his ear
