I remember in the Spring, some writers were saying Justin looked like the most natural QB on the roster.

From what I've been told this is correct. That being said things change in the year as QB's progress and regress as time goes on. I was told in the fall, I believe, that Justin was a lot more than what people where giving him credit for and had the tools to be able to compete for a starting role. I don't see that to be too far fetched after seeing both Jennings and Harris play a full year. As I was told he impressed the coaches, but was obviously not in the position to start for a number of reasons. To be specific on what I know, he had a very accurate arm, made the right decision at the line, went through progressions well and was a very intellegent young QB. He was mobile as any QB on the roster and could be a threat with his legs. All of this info was gathered second hand from one of the assistant coaches. Take it for what it is or toss it in the trash, lol.

Anywhere as long as Shea was committed, duh.
Associate Director of Recruiting Operations is where Ole Miss put him...works for me. Point is that you keep Sean Patterson no matter what.

Sorry, but that's a very slippery slope. If you go all in to keep Sean Patterson on staff to land Shea, you have to be prepared to kowtow to every top recruit. One recruit is not worth all of that nonsense.

Nothing would have convinced him to come here as long as there is such a thing as television. He has eyes, he can see.

Kelly coming back is probably in Patterson's best interest imo.

takes the pressure off from trying to be a freshman savior.

Please no more Patterson threads. That ship has sailed.

Patterson was worth it.

If you think worse things don't happen then you could be wrong. Keeping a guy on staff to insure his brother comes to the school is nominal.
Also, having Franks committed at the time made it easier to play hard ball with the Patterson boys. Saw how that worked out.

You are 100% correct. However, recruiting is speculation anyhow, so to know that anyone turns out or doesn't is a question that only the future can answer. This is even more amplified at the QB position because the transitions are immense. Based off of his performances compared to other recruits, Shea is far superior. So ones logic would say that this would transition to college.

Now what Ole Miss really had to do to get Shea on campus past his brothers hiring are the things that I will leave with Freeze.

Manchac Man, LSU did not "let his brother leave". The brother was literally thrown out of the athletic department complex, to the extent his belongings were placed out on the street.

Patterson was not walking on this campus and starting as a true freshman, period! Harris is the QB until he leaves!
Are you also one of those who said Harris would never start over Jennings?

They can down down vote McMillan all they want. He's a player for sure.
Hope he gets it together this offseason.

Shea Patterson is not coming to LSU except when Ole Miss travels to play in Tiger Stadium. Can we please stop making pointless threads about him?
