Shea Patterson, QB

Living in Mississippi LSU fans have to put up with the incessant crowing of the ole miss folks saying they land the best prospects. Now it's Shea Patterson who they are saying is the #1 player in all the land. (1) is he that good? (2) didn't he end up at ole miss because they gave his brother a full-time coaching job up there?

LSU has Feliepe Franks committed at QB, and I'm more than confident we landed a good one to lead our offense. Don't even worry about it.

If Patterson is 1 then Franks is 1b in my opinion. We will be just fine with Franks.

Cam got the QB in this class he wanted in Feleipe Franks, which is why Franks was already committed to LSU by the time Patterson finally received an offer from them. We were never gonna land 2 stud QBs in this class, but we landed the QB who was #1 on our board.

Yes, he has been on wherever his brother has been's commitment list.
His brother first had an assistant job with Arizona and he was a commit there.
His brother left and came to LSU, and he decommitted.
Had LSU in his top 2.
He went to make his announcement while his brother was still on LSU, but word already spread his brother had landed a better job at Ole Miss.. He then chose Ole Mississippi during his new commit announcement.. his brother publicly joined Ole Miss soon after. Everyone saw it coming even though his father was in such public denial of the older brother heading to Ole Miss..
Shea is very good, he dominated the competition while at Calvary. He makes plays happen when the pocket breaks down, kind of like Manziel. Last week vs a very legit defense he only lead his team to 1 rushing TD.. feel like regardless a #1 overall should do more.. but people will defend and say he hasn't been with their team long. i don't buy that as excuse as he's a veteran guy and has been there since summer. I look forward to watching him vs more legit competition this season.
He seems like a good kid, but his family and situation make it hard to really like him.
I made a teasing comment towards Shea online about get use to losing at Ole Miss.. and he blocked me.
Don't blame him though.

I'm born and raised in La., all LSU all my life. I had to move to Ms. for a good job,and I hear that Ole Miss stuff all the time, everyday. I hate it. I can't ignore it. Last year Ms. State fans were excited over their year with Dak Prescott from La.. I can stand State's stuff,but not OM.

I watched a game last week and no matter how you try to slice it, he is flat out NOT the best player in the land. #1 players dont go away and hide for most of 4 qtrs.

He didnt look that awesome this past weekend. He did ok but there was nothing physical or skills related that made me go OMG or anything.
