Which miracle play? Did you forget about the miracle that beat "Bama?"

Patterson may or may not play in the NFL one day but we want nothing to do with that family. End of story.

Absolutely. Do not want. Another Todd Marinovich in the making.

While it was a very lucky play that isn't the reason they beat AL, AL turned the ball over and OM converted on those turnovers scoring 43 points. Name the last team that was one TD away from hanging 50 on Alabama. You're tripping if you don't think that offense is superior to Ohio's or Alabama's....without the rushing attack and offensive line even. Aside from Treadwell that class didn't contribute alot to OM's success. The recruits Nutt brought in have had far more of an impact the last two years. I don't like them either but that doesn't mean be oblivious to the success they're having.

His family will be a headache, just like the Booty family was. Hope he stays the hell away from Baton Rouge!

They lost to Memphis... I'd argue there was a greater chance of the SEC being left out of the playoffs than OM making it if OM hadn't lost to Arkansas.

and Ohio State lost to virgina tech last year who was nowhere near as good as Memphis was this year. The way we played against Eastern Michigan and WkU they would have beat us too.

See I can do it three.

tOSU has gotten into a QB bind of late. If they take only one this year they only have three on scholly in 2016

Four on scholly is ideal, but three is far from a crisis (especially when you return an experienced starter).

LSU in 2014 had only 2 scholarship QBs, the oldest of which was a true sophomore with 1 start.

That's a crisis.

Shea has a good chance at becoming the next Robert Lane.

He is opening up for a bidding war. Bama and Olé Miss are the biggest payers. Olé Miss has already paid for him. It sounds like he's trying to get more money.

Old Miss had one good recruiting year since 1961 and some of you idiots are anointing them a permanent contender in the west! They rode their 2012 class as far as they could. It's over! Back to Vanderbilt level.

Ole Miss could never be a permanent contender in the west. Mississippi doesn't produce enough in state talent and battling for out of state talent with programs like Bama, LSU, Georgia, and Florida is just not feasible (unless you are willing to shell out boat loads of money on a yearly basis and I don't see Ole Miss being capable of doing that without drawing way to much attention). Isn't there some rumors out there already that the NCAA is sniffing around them?

I'll say it again, OM best players over the past 3 seasons were not from the 2012 class outside of treadwell. They were the 2010 and 2011 Houston Nutt classes. Recruiting rankings aren't everything. Freeze is a better coach than he gets credit for. We only lead the series 59-41 so if they haven't done significant recruiting since 61' how does that look for us. Just sayin

Freeze is also his own worst enemy. Did you watch the Memphis game? They were up early and cruising. He single-handedly have away momentum with two of the dumbest 4th down calls I've ever seen. He got greedy on the road and it burned him big time. Even if they had won the SEC, they wouldn't have gone to the playoff because of this loss.

Everyone forgets OM's last possession vs Bama since they won, but go back and watch that one too. Ole Miss gets a favorable spot and Freeze decides to go on 4th down rather than punt. This isn't a bad decision. What is a bad decision is challenging an obviously favorable spot, losing yardage on your own stupid decision, and then missing the conversion by inches. Inches you gave away. That's Miles level, my friend, if not worse.

Freeze also got called out big time for horrible time management in the Arkansas game. His players bailed him out when they blocked what would have been a game-winning field goal. I know it took a miracle play and all for them to lose in OT, but Freeze was damn luck to get there.

I don't think anyone can dispute that Freeze is a good coach and recruiter. However, he won't get his fingers out of the offense (sound familiar?), and shoots himself in the foot repeatedly. He's not a big time coach and he never will be unless he puts a real OC in charge of the offense and focuses on game-management.

I'm sure UL-Lafayette would like to have a few more talks with Ole Miss about their boy.
