Looks like Bama and Ohio State are making a push for Mr. Patterson. As much as we need a QB, I am actually somewhat glad that we were never really in the late running for this kid.

His talent is indisputable, but I have a feeling that the likelihood of his future success is highly disputable right now.

That said, in the event he turns out great, I would rather he be at tOSU than in the SECw.

I really do believe the kid is just hearing everyone out rather than really considering it. He's seemed pretty excited to get to Oxford, neither bama nor Ohio State have better offensive philosophies for his style of play than OM.

His dad is not well liked by all the coaches who've had to deal with him during the recruitment process; brother is an issue as well. But can't see him looking at bama as they have a 5 star QB due in Jan as I recall. Perhaps Patterson is hearing Kelly is not going pro & does not want to sit, which would seemingly fit with his perceived attitude in general.

Patterson may or may not play in the NFL one day but we want nothing to do with that family. End of story.

But he is almost assured of playing behind better offensive lines and having more big game exposure. The likelihood of playing for a national title is much great at OSU or Bama as well.

You do realize OM was a miracle play away from possibly being in the playoff, and big game exposure??? You do realize this is the SECW right. I agree about oline but they are likely landing Little and will have more quality pieces around with arguably the best WR core in CFB. He'd have it made honestly

I'm with Gout on this one. Don't want the family near LSU.

The dead period starts on December 14,2015,through January 13, 2016.
These visits are at his school not in-home visits.
Patterson will enroll at Ole Miss before end of dead period.

I also realize that they are losing two NFL offensive tackles (and still had an ineffective OL), their best receiver, likely their best TE, their running back, their best two to four defensive players and that most of that talent came from a once in a generation recruiting class that featured three 5 star recruits from other states outside of MS.

They also lost to Memphis...

OM is not Ohio State or Alabama by any measure.

He could play in front of 100K plus every weekend or play in front of 65K.

He could play for Urban Meyer or Nick Saban, or for Hugh Freeze.

Come on, dude.

He has a better chance of starting @ Bama his firtst year than Ole Miss and O State if he enrolls in the spring.

Disputable.

Everyone thought Brock Berlin was the next Dan Marino. The system he was in and talent advantage his team had in HS made him look far better than he was.

I think Shea will be good, especially in Ole Miss' offense.

But I just don't see him being anything more than "good". He's not some once in a lifetime kid. I think he'd be "decent" in LSU's offense tbh. Ole Miss is the best place for him.

And started a fifth-year senior and former RB the year before.

And they were a miracle play and 5 turnovers away from losing to Bama. I mean, it's not every day that you can coach quarterbacks up to throw the ball up for grabs and bounce it off a defenders head into your receivers hands, so they do have that going for them.

Gonna stay at Ole Miss. He is the better version of Chad Kelly and in that offense, with those WRs they keep stocking up, he is going to put up crazy numbers from year 2 onward.
