Q&A by Jason Howell, the new SW analyst for Rivals LINK
quote:

The Southwest region is light on uncommitted prospects in the Rivals100. What are your projections right now on the top uncommitted prospects? -- Tim, in Kansas City

quote:

No. 24 Ricky Seals-Jones, ATH, Sealy, Texas - My projection: LSU. Why: It is more of a gut feeling than anything. He is down to Texas A&M and LSU and has had LSU very high on his list from the beginning. In fact early on it was thought LSU might be able to secure his commitment before he committed early to Texas. The Aggies are not to be underestimated though. They have been working him hard and the offense of new head coach Kevin Sumlin is a drawing point.

quote:

No. 36 Tim Williams, DE, Baton Rouge (La.) University Laboratory - My projection: LSU. Why: Sure he has Miami and Florida State a little higher than Alabama and LSU right now, but he's right in the Tigers backyard and is a guy I do not see them letting get out of their sight.

quote:

No. 94 Justin Manning, DT, Dallas (Texas) Kimball - My projection: Oklahoma. Why: Manning has done a great job of keeping his options open and checking things out. He has visits planned but in the end it's hard to ignore the ties he has to the Oklahoma program.

quote:

No. 95 Kendell Beckwith, ATH, Jackson (La.) East Feliciana - My projection: LSU. Why: Like Williams this is a hometown selection for the Tigers.

That would be an unbelievable finish for LSU, especially if we keep Brazil, Rettig, Leslie, and Herron.

One of the best classes LSU has had.

Would be an awesome finish, although I'd like to land another DT to go with Gilmore.

I don't know if my subscription to scout lapsed, or if I got banned for some unknown reason, but I can't read their board either.

I also agree with him about RSJ, T Willy, and Beck.

Getting more concerned about Gilmore as the days go by.

But I do think that we land one of the 3 florida guys with or without Gilmore. Bostwick, Senat, or Bain

So could we fit those 3 guys in the class and Gilmore? Would someone currently committed have to go?

We'll end up with three in this class- Lawson, Gilmore, and Herron.

I was very much in the same mindset with Herron most of the year but I've kind of flipped a little towards Lavar Edwards type DE. Could easily see him being a DT but just think the Edwards role fits well also.

Any update on Willis?!
I want him to come here so bad!
With Willis, RSJ, Beckwith, Williams and Gilmore still left, I'm feeling pretty confident atleast 4 out of those 5 will ours.
Anyone agree or disagree?

Why is he already being pegged at DT at his weight listed? Am I missing something?
