MCL, probably just rehab. Most likely out for the year.

Any news? This kid is so dynamic.

Yes. Sione has said that he believes it's only an mcl tear at worst, which won't require surgery. He plans to return this season.

Hope he's ok since he will be the best rb recruit we get in 2014

For all the idiots that decided to debate whether Boo's offer might be in jeopardy, Les and Frank called and told him they are committed to him no matter what the MRI says.

It's amazing how little people that supposedly follow sports seem to know about knee injuries. I guess having a kid go through ACL repair taught me a lot. Tearing one's ACL doesn't mean that the injury would keep him from walking afterwards. Heck, my son wanted to go back into the game after tearing his, thankfully, he plays with Dr. Bankston's son, so we had the best knee doctor in town on the sideline to head that off.
The tests that doctors can do on the field/sideline to test the ligaments have been found to be ~90% accurate (if I remember correctly), probably moreso if the examiner is experienced at this type diagnosis (a good reason to go to BR Orthopedic and not fret all weekend). The MRI is used for confirmation, but moreso, to determine degree of the injury, and help decide on treatment.
Here's hoping for the best, but for those that know him reading this, even if it is a damaged ACL, there are a lot of guys playing on Sundays that have been through that repair.

I think the point is that BR Ortho isn't open on Friday nights. And there is no ER at that facility.

Actually, that's wrong. They have a crew of doctors that volunteer their time to be there on Friday nights after the HS football games to see any players that want to come by. Specialists in all types of typical injuries-knees, concussions, arm/elbow/hand. It's a tremendous service, and offers MUCH better evaluation than any ER or other afterhour places would.

I stand corrected.
I know a lot of those guys, but was not familiar with this service.
