McKay on Montgomery & Richardson

Rumor Central: now the word is that Sam Montgomery's situation is NOT done yet. If you saw him on ESPNU this morning, he said he was waiting on Trent Richardson and they wanted to go to school together.
So the deal is LSU might still lose Montgomery to North Carolina. Or they might keep Montgomery and add Richardson. Like it or not, this circus will continue until Richardson makes his announcement sometime after 3:00.
But it does sound like Richardson is either going to Alabama or LSU. Florida sounds like they're out. Once again Urban Meyer craps out trying to land a legitimate workhorse running back.
The rumor is also that Lance Thompson, who could not get Richardson interested in Tennessee, has been trying to push Richardson to LSU. I can believe that - the Tennessee folks sure don't want to be in the division with him, and the Thompson/Nick Saban feud is an awfully ugly one.

You are an LSU fan, and you don't know that LSU and UA are in the same division..unlike UT? Read your rumor again

interesting. I've never heard of one SEC team convincing a player to choose another SEC team.

Mckay tends to run with ALOT of rumors to drub up membership to his damn strong club. If Sam really was dependent on TR he would have pushed his PC back

Montgomery is taking this long because he announced at a tv studio in charlotte. Now he has to drive to S.C. and fax the letter from the his school which is required.

With SM announcing LSU earlier, I sure like our chances better with TR now. You have to think the odds are better that scenario turns out rather than losing SM completely.

This makes no sense. How does TR going to Bama and SM going to Carolina get them at the same school? Why wouldn't Montgomery stick with LSU?

Yes Montgomery clearly said he was waiting on his friend TR....It was like they pressured him on ESPNU TO PICK A SCHOOL BUT HE SAID He wanted to wait and then he put on the LSU HAT....Go ahead Montgomery and fax to BR........

I have always thought that Sam liked LSU the most all along
The scoop is, Sam is driving back home to fax his papers...he has a 2 hour drive or so
