LINK

1- Texas
2- FSU
3- Ohio State
4- Notre Dame
5- Alabama
6- Auburn
7- USC
8- LSU
9- Georgia
10- South Carolina

With only two spots remaining, any chance LSU can finish top 5?

Agreed on ND, couldn't help but chuckle seeing them at #4.

Mr swift,

I read on Dandy Don that LSU will take 25.

So, if the last 4 are 4 star or better, LSU can move up into this top 5.

They would also solidify their #3 position on rivals.

More important, if they get that kind of finish, it will be some high end d-linemen, and maybe a LB. Both would be a happy addition to the team.
These scouting numbers are about people, of course, So the higher the rating, the better the player, one hopes.

Thanks, I'm only a casual follower of recruiting. I'm fine with bringing in a top 10 class every year!

I still think in a perfect world we could land all 4 of the big remaining targets; MJ, Jernigan, CJ , & Rasco. More realistically o think it's 2 of the 4; Rasco and one more. If we get Rasco and Jernigan for instance, we should be top 5. Both Rasco and Jernigan are 5 stars. How could Scout justify not having us in the top 5 at that point? We would have 5 five stars...

OSU has a great class coming in; totally reasonable to see them having a top 5 class.

I agree with this provided Curtis Grant signs. Otherwise top 10. But really, does it matter. Top 10 is still awesome and it's all subject to each recruiting outlets opinion and biases in regards to the very top. That's just my opinion. Top 10 on average and the talent is there.

Yea that's the thing; people on here say that Rivals rankings are "better." Someone should do a comparison and see where the top 100 in each ended up, to decide who's is better overall

Someone can just whip this up i'm sure

i fail to see how that is so funny. ND and OSU both have great classes.

ND has 4 five stars for crying out loud.

Scout is probably the worst of the 3 services, and they are underrating LSU's and Bama's classes.

ND and OSU definitely have top 10 classes. Tough call whether they are top 5. I like OSU's class a good bit. And ND has some studs in that class along the DL in Stephon Tuitt, Aaron Lynch, and Ishaq Williams. ND normally has good classes, but their coaches have been terrible before Kelly got there. So most people just say - oh, their classes were overrated. No, not really - their coaches have stunk. Kelly is a college coach and very good at player development.

ESPN is widely regarded as the worst of the three major recruiting services, and it isn't all that close.

Rivals is the best, whether or not people want to claim there is some bias in the rankings.

meh, rivals does not even have a midwest talent scout. additionally some of their "alleged" "better" evaluators have left for ESPN and 24/7. regardless, 99% of these guys evaluating HS talent are goobers anyways. its hard for me to believe that a "rivals goober" is somehow better at looking at scratchy film then a "scout goober" or a "ESPN goober".
