Coaches probably don't think the in-state guys will commit to LSU with our current situation like it is so they are going after other guys. Looking at his offer sheet it's not like it's a bad prospect.

Have you even watched the kid's film? He looks to be just as good or better than Broadway or Munchie. Dude can straight up sling it. He is garnering some serious buzz on the national boards.

Maybe so...He's not a bad prospect at all..

We got a 4-star QB in New Orleans though that will probably not get an LSU offer and end up somewhere else...I hope it doesn't work out that way..

Just because Rivals thinks a player deserves 4 stars, doesn't mean the coaches feel he is more suited to run our offense than a guy who plays in Cali and isn't even ranked yet. C'mon man

Obviously Cajun61 hasnt watched the film Yetty. Kid looked really good.

He just saw it was an out of state player without a star ranking. That kid can definately sling it. Over 2/3 of his passes were for more than 30 yards it seemed. Puts good zip on the short throws and good touch on his deep throws. Has the wheels to run, evades and rolls out to create plays, but stays behind the line in order to pass first. Lots of potential in this kid. Im sure he will grade high once someone properly evaluates him.

You can't joke around on this board anymore. I take everything around here with a grain of salt nowadays.

C'mon man what?...

Yeah, you are probably right though...The grass is greener in California than it is New Orleans...

dont be that guy

sports is one of the few places left that put a premium on merit

the coaching staff feels that this Cali QB is better right now than the NOLA QB, thus the first offer

it's not that hard to understand

Scroggins looks ok. Not an overwhelming arm and takes a while on his delivery when throwing deep but I could see why the staff would think highly of him. Watch his vid all the way thru, the first part was not all that impressive but the middle to latter parts were.

Manager: "I am going to hire this guy that can really contribute to this company based on what I have seen."

File clerk: "But monster.com says the other guy is better."

Manager: "How does monster.com know what I'm looking for and what plans I have to make this organization run more efficiently."

File clerk: "Oh, you mean that if you feel like your guy can make more of a contribution than the other guy, you hire him based on what you know rather than what someone on the outside looking in thinks."

How many QBs has LSU offered so far? Heaps, Gardener (who committed to Michigan), Connor Wood (Texas), and apparently Broadway. Anyone else?

I don't see why you think Munchie isn't going to get an offer for sure. It's not as if LSU is passing over Munchie by giving every marginal QB an offer.

Jesse Scroggins is so good USC will probably offer him when he's properly evaluated...
