How much of a ceiling does Riley have or maybe a better question is how close is he to that ceiling already?

Duke isn't small and could certainly put on some more weight, but depending on which position they want him to play, he probably won't need to gain much more.

Hard to say what his ceiling is.,2a ball can be so deceiving. He's bigger and faster than everyone. I question if they would have offered if he didnt play for Curtis.

I'm sure Chavis Okd it tho. He has that going for him at least.

The kid is a hard worker. At worst he'll be a special teams beast

They probably see him being a contributor in a few years with a greyshirt + redshirt and it will also give them another JC guy (including Gordon) which will help them with the 2-3 Curtis guys who will be national prospects next year.

Many have questioned the ceilings for kids coming out of programs like Evangel, WM, Curtis due to the extent of quality coaching and strength/conditioning they have already been exposed to for so long.

Duke looks like a great athlete that fits the mold of what Coach Chavis likes. I think he takes the LSU greyshirt offer.

Reminds me a lot of lamin barrow actually coming out.

Hopefully he's more like him than our other secondary LB targets over the last few years like Muncie, johns, & taj jones & rockey duplesis to an extent

I thought Muncie and Tahj were fine. Muncie did well this season before he got sick and lost all that weight.

Neither impressed me at all. I think they were kinda playing by default. I thought Muncie was especially bad

He'll be at Lsu. Earlier in the year another Curtis kid said that they were waiting for some spots to open up before they offered duke but the coaching staff definetely wanted him. This kids gonna be good.

I've heard nothing but positive things about him. Would not mind having him aboard.

FWIW Cethan Carter was also offered.. add him to the OP as well

Have a feeling this dude has Deion Jones written all over him.

Another 3* gem.

John Curtis LB Duke Riley and Rummel TE Cethan Carter have scholarship offers and will be brought in for official visits for the last recruiting weekend. Right now it's unknown how the numbers will work out in this class and the last three or four spots.

Both really had solid production this season, and really came on strong late during the playoffs.

Saw him in the dome last year, he made nearly all of Curtis' tackles. He's similar to debo jones imo
