Does anyone know why Liggins turned? He had x'ed off LSU from his list and was recruiting for Ole Miss just a week ago according to Liggins. Now I read he is an LSU commit! Does anyone know what the story behind all this is? Was LSU off his list really, just a week ago or was he off of LSU's list and now back on? What is going on?

Are you talking about the reporter who this past week admitted putting out false information to upset other schools?

Maybe Les has started telling these kids to act like they're not interested publicly. It's what's been done to LSU over the past few years so it may be strategy he's starting to employ.

I figure Landon will pull a Liggins soon enough.. j/k

But I do think some of these other kids are slow playing their announcement. I'm pretty sure LSU has more than 21 confirmed commitments at this time, I don't' think they're struggling to fill the last 4 slots.

I think the Gunner Kiel thing opened it back up for us to get him. He was supposibly wanting to go out of state from the start. Watched Liggins play in Shreveport against Evangel this year. Kid is a big time talent. Moves super fast for his size, so I can see him being pretty successful if they do move him to DT. Just needs time to develope like 95% of all high school talents. We definatly got a good one!

Supposedly, it was Liggens spinning the fact that LSU didn't offer.

LSU came with an offer shortly after and everything changed.

Another theory is that the kid was playing a game.

In the end, what does it matter? The "information" that gets released is nowhere near 100% accurate even if the kid is being quoted. And, even if it is accurate, things can change overnight. That much should be clear by now.

The coaches put a hard sell push on him the last few days of the contact period and won him over. Helps that his family loves Les.

Simply not true. Kid has had a committable offer for months since his grades checked out.

Multiple choice

a) LSU offered.
b) Trying to get OM fans off his back for a week.
c) His in state schools suck.
d) All of the above.

I just watched all his interviews from the last 2 years on scout..

He really really liked Alabama, coach Saban and their tradition and was heavily recruiting by them for about 2 years

But "I fell in love with LSU"

"I put Coach Saban and coach Les even"

"I'm used to winning"

"LSU baby!"

I seriously doubt he had a committable offer while we had Kiel committed. That's counter to what was said at the time and counter to reading between the lines all along the way with his recruitment.

Louisiana food is better. That and Hugh Freeze revoked the OM offer.

Liggins "settled".

I can tell what I heard on Super Talk Radio today at 4:00. One of the radio hosts was at Oxford and talked to Liggins today. Liggins told him he grew up in Ms., was tired of Ms., and wanted to go out of state. When he did not get a full scholly offer on his official visit, he got mad, that's how the recruiting the wide receiver for OM got started. In the last 2 or 3 days LSU offered a full scholly and he accepted. He assumed it was because Gunner Keil backed out and a scholly was available. LSU must have made a late push for him and he took it. He said he wanted to play QB and would be a good running QB like LSU's big running backs, when he couldn't make the pass to his reads. Doesn't want to play defense, he's never put his hand down in a stance.never.
