If I could adjust my list of who I want for LSU it would be

Ferguson
Staver
Buchanan

All 6'3" or over and I feel would be able to succeed in the offense we are currently running.

We should all be honest with ourselves at this point. Until Mett shows the world that LSU is a passer friendly place and that our coaches are willing to pass the ball around more often then LSU is not going to be an attractive destination for a top passing QB.

so how did Bama get a good QB or did i miss where they were a passing friendly offense?

Oh, and I wonder if maybe the LSU coaches might mention that we did have a QB drafted #1 overall in the NFL in 2007.

McCarron is not viewed as a bad quarterback like Jefferson and Lee were for so many years.

and trust me, you never want to mention Jamarcus Russell when talking to recruits ....

I understand exactly what you are saying if that is your concern. It is what is putting off colleges across the nation. I really hope if we take 2 QB's that Kincade is one of them. He is a terrific athlete that looks like a halfway decent QB.

Yeah if we get one of the following three I will be happy and will label QB recruiting this class a success. Specifically if we land one of the first two.

Ferguson
Buchanan
Staver

1. Ferguson - UNC
2. Jennings - VaTech
3. Kincaide - Oregon or KState
4. Buchanan - Ole Miss
5. Sandberg - FSU or Clemson
6. Staver - Louisville
7. Bergeron - ULL

I predict LSU will eventually settle with JC transfer Tony Casamento. He certainly has the chest to play QB here.

Staver plays for Brentwood Academy, which is the equivalent of MPSA ball in Louisiana. He is bigger than all the othe players.

No, it's not. Brentwood Academy plays one of the toughest schedules in Tennessee.

UNC has Trubisky
VT has Bucky Hodges(very talented kid)

I like Staver and wouldn't be opposed to having him in the class.
I like Kincaide and don't see why people are concerned with his size or the offense we supposedly currently run. What offense is that exactly? The one that Jarrett Lee ran or the one that Jefferson ran? Or is it the one we'll run with Mett? Maybe the one that has Les and Krags clamoring for dual threat qbs? Maybe it's the one envisioned for Randall and Liggins. Still don't know what kind of offense we do actually run or want to actually run. I'd venture to say a little of both with the ability to run being the preference with QBs. People keep saying that Liggins was a scramble take when truthfully that was never the case. He was always a take and was recruited even after Kiel had committed. The slow down was on his part not ours. Before Kiel he was very interested, during he wasn't and after he was interested again. Les always wanted him. Kincaide's size isn't that big a deal. Sure we'd all love to have a 6'3 guy but there have been plenty of guys prove that shorter guys can be successful. Kincaide is smart, pretty well coached, accurate, can move and knows how to put the ball in his playmakers hands. Sign him up. He's nowhere near the project that the qbs on our roster currently are aside from Mett.

Ryan Buchanan has very quick feet for a big man and pretty good mechanics. I'm starting to like him more than any of the other guys

After looking at film for each, my order would be:

1. Ferguson (if Pro-style)
1.a. Jennings (if Dual-Threat)
3. Buchanan
4. Staver
5. Kincade

Athletically, Kincade is the best out of these guys, followed by Buchanan. I just don't see Kincade being a QB at the next level, unless it is an all-out spread offense.

I think a combination of Ferguson and Jennings this year would be really nice. Does anyone know if Jennings is going to get an offer?

ETA: Of course, in my time watching film on these guys, I failed to realize that LSU got a committment from Hayden Rettig! Damn I'm late.
