I don't know what the kid is thinking. however, being an hour away from baton rouge where mama can see him play will weigh hard on his mind as n.s.d. approaches.
i don't believe he has strong lsu roots. however, lsu is a very good program that can develop his skills, compete on the biggest of stages, and mama, dad, family, girlfriend, ect. see him play.
bama and usc can't offer all that. they can offer two of the three but not all three.

DJ Pettway was at the Combine in LA this weekend and just committed to Bama, I bet that may be who this rumor was about, even though he's from Pensacola.

That makes a lot of sense. I figured he would wind up at Bama.
Someone probably heard, "a kid in Louisiana committed to Bama" or........"someone committed to Bama from Louisiana" and ran with it.

Pettway is not the guy the rumor is about.According to a guy that is very good with the Bama recruiting nuggets says it is true and is a kid that was at the A-Day game.The only 2 were the Griffin kid from Rayville and Sylve(who was there according to every Bama guy I've talked to since this rumor came about).Getting strong hints that they are talking about Mickey Johnson but unless he jumped on a plane there's no way he was at the Bama spring game.If it's Sylve i agree with every other LSU guy on this board.No way it holds.I'm not a lock type of guy with LSU recruits because so much can happen but there's no way that LSU will let Sylve get away.He loves LSU and his commitment would never stick.I will keep trying to find out who the kid is but I have gotten nothing but M.Johnson so far today.If he's the one then someone has some info wrong because i don't see anyway he made it to Bama in time for the game.We'll see.

It was no way Mickey..the Nike camp got finished a little after 2 on saturday..no way he took of to Bama in that little of time

I don't see it being Sylve, since we already have 3 WRs and are in good shape to land one of another 3. However none of those are slot types, which Sylve would be. But with the slot types we got in last years class I don't think we need one.
And if Sylve is so big on LSU, why would he commit to Bama. He has an offer from y'all right?

Tigerbru,that's my thinking as well but he's the guy I'm getting the most chatter about.

Me either really, we just took a TE, and I don't know if we will take another unless he's top notch. Plus I haven't heard the first mention of Griffin other than a post that he has an offer.
