we need to press this kid more. if he wants to play wr...let him

A&M leads as they want him as a rb/wr. we have too many of those, but we could surely find a place for him like Trindon Holliday.

A&M is recruiting him as a running back. Personally, I think the kid has NFL safety written all over him.

Louisiana produces some ridiculous athletes.

Mr. Merritt, you raised a good person who also happens to be a freak athlete. I hope he ends up at LSU but all reports that I've read indicate otherwise.

I hope he doesn't end up listening and believing all of that garbage coming from Sumlin. Trust in Miles and Cameron. They have a history of putting a large amount of players into the NFL while also focusing on getting players to graduate. The family atmosphere has to also be important! Here's to seeing Kirk in purple and gold.

I like Merritt a lot, but I think I like Donte Jackson more. I think Merritt is a rare type of freak athlete, but I like Donte's mix of athleticism and instincts more.

I would hate watching them score on us and thinking "we should have gotten both of them"

He wants to play running back and is concerned about the depth chart here. We're recruiting him as a slot receiver and maybe a safety but he's adamant about being a running back. The staff isn't pushing for him because of this

Am I the only one that thinks Josh Sweat's score is more impressive.
