Now, remember he's about 30 lbs heavier than Merrit.

Why are we wasting all of Ducre's talent at FB? He'd make a serious LB here. He's an athletic freak! We could go JUCO or walk on for a FB.

You still think we recruiting him for fullback? I think Mouton will be a fullback in this class..

He could fit into a Russell Shepard but more successful kinda role in the offense.

Hopefully Cam is able to exploit that role better than we did with RS. LSU's offense will be potent in the coming years as Cam has his way and has some time with them. Can't wait.

I pray LSU turns up the heat since he is in our own back yard would be a shame to see him go else where

People ask you all the time for a recruiting update yet you never give any info. If Kirk is seriously not considering LSU as what seems to be said on every recruiting website, then one has to wonder why the love for a LSU recruiting board?

i was talking about Merritt around this time last year. I don't think recruiting him as a rb or wr is the issue. He wants to play in a wide open offense to showcase his ability. There will be more players soon enough here, but a&m and LSU are strong contenders and that battle has a ways to go. This is a kid who is going to get a lot of attention in this summer circuit for his athleticism and I think he'll take his time to digest it all.

Really hope Kirk is a Tiger. Just hard to go wrong with such freakish athleticism.

D. sproles? cam made him. he would know how to use him.

If the kid wants to be a rb, let him go to atm. we have a ton of running backs.

That's the difference in lsu and atm, we put elite talent on defense. He can go to atm, do well on offense and be a third or fourth round pick as a running back. however, if he played db, first round.

I do think lsu is recruiting him right and smart. He has a better pro future as slot wr or db. You have guys at lsu with pro backgrounds making that evaluation.

I remember when saban was here he lost out on vince young because he wanted him as a wr and not a qb. well, vince could still be playing in the n.f.l. if he had been wr.

So why don't you want Kirk to go to LSU?

Destrehan, right? D-town has been a big LSU pipeline for awhile. It would suck to lose on this guy. He could fit into a Russell Shepard but more successful kinda role in the offense.

Not tru it's 60/40. Most consider going elsewhere

This kid would be a monster safety. Hope he seriously considers his LSU offer.

They are loading up on all fronts. They may struggle some this year, but next year they could make a run with all the talent they'll have...

A&M loads up on offense but has yet to recruit depth on the defensive side which they will need to really contend. They just lost Darian Claiborne, Isaiah Golden, and Kam Miles this off season. All would probably be starting on their D this year. I don't see the Aggies really making a run at a national title until they recruit and develop defensive talent and more than 1 or 2 players. I expect Garrett to be a good one, but they need a ton of work over on that side of the ball.

It's not like LSU uses twin tight ends and a fullback on every down. We go spread a lot. He could fit into a split set 3 receiver look really well. He would fit in well at any school not only wide open offenses. He's the kinda guy who can truly keep defenses honest. He can line up at RB and motion out to WR and beat a LB or the reverse and truck a CB. We need guys like that.
