Speaking of Garret and Chavis, it appears that Chavis wants him at A&M now.

out of all of the recruits we've missed out on in the last few years, he might be the most important right now.

1) There aren't too many recruits that we've missed out on in recent years.

2) There's a future top 5 draft pick playing LT for our biggest rival. That's the biggest, most painful miss in recent years IMO.

Malachi was the biggest get. Speedy types are a dime a dozen.

If Melvin jones could have played LB they would have kept him there. He couldn't so they moved him. Bringing him up is weak sauce

kenny young is probably the best lb to come out nola in a long time . but he was older and stronger than most high schoolers . didn't do much his junior year but his senior year . he was a grown azz man on the field.

Kid can't get out of his own way. He and Gerald Willis, while great talents, were both 50/50 guys coming out of Karr IMO. Bad attitudes, selfish, basically getting by on natural talent. Speedy cost them the title game against East Jeff and has been disappointing since he got to A&M. He had that run-in with the law, a couple of suspensions I believe, and he can't do the basic stuff to get better. Their own analysts say that he still can't run routes or get off a jam. He's all flash and no substance.

Willis' screw ups are well documented. I still would have loved to see LSU sign them in hopes that they lived up to the talent, but we really haven't missed either guy. Same goes for Hootie Jones, who is basically third string at Bama, and Tony Brown who could be a career backup. CRob and Kenny Young were the big misses of that 2014 class for sure

I remember when Curtis played St. Aug/Fournette - Young had 30 tackles in the game. Not sure what LSU could have missed with this guy? Please fact check me.

Malik Jefferson would be nice too. Had a great game last week. 9 tackles, a fumble return for a touchdown.
Texas wouldn't have a defense to go along with their lack of offense if we had landed Malik

It has been reported that Chavis did not like him. Said he was too big. We all know Chavis likes small, fast LBs. But, it is no secret why Young went to UCLA. People were asking about this kid for a year and why LSU was not showing interest in him, and it came out that Chavis was not interested.

Speedy doesn't play slot, and he's still a starter. He's been banged up, and missed most of fall camp.

I was caught up in the Garrett hype and paid no attention to Young. I tuned into the UCLA game the other day and he wasn't hard to find. My word he is one bad man is all I will say. He will be known after this year.

Yeah he was! The 245lb. Brown had 11 Tackles (as many as Beckwith)....he & Kenny Young could have easily been LSU Tigers!
