where is he from and what pos he play?

Melvin Jones is listed at 6'3 248 on his rivals profile. Sounds like a possible 3-4 LB, guess we'll see what position he wants to play in college.

He is a TE from Texas, I think he is an aggie legacy though.

WTF is up with all these diehard bama fans who are Louisiana natives? It's not like they are transplants from Birmingham or something. Never really heard of this until the last few years. I guess it's the same deal when every recruit was a "USC fan" about 8 years ago.

On Jetavious Wilson. I've heard he is more like 5'7-5'8 about 165. Top end quickness and good speed. He's just a playmaker. He was very upset he missed the 1st jr day and said he was a big LSU fan.

Don't worry about Diarse just yet. He will make a good, very well thought out decision. They really like LSU as a school and football program. He may end up at Bama but it will be nothing like Collins. He's also not a surefire #1 in the state. Bone is just feeding his fanbase.

RSJ- He is a Texas/LSU battle. Problem is his entire family wants Texas and will get their wish. We have about a 10% chance and it all hinges on Trent Johnson. He also wants to play WR not TE. We'll have to see how that works out in recruiting.

The DTs Golden has got an invite to the jr day and is a LSU fan. Reason for no contact is simple. He hasn't called the coaches. How do you think he got an invite if they haven't reached out to him or the school? Manning is another story. Some are saying the staff has reached out to him but he specifically said last week that we hadn't. Someone is not being truthful. Again I think this problem lies at the feet of Brick Haley. He takes a while to evaluate kids and chooses a select few to recruit with virtually no backup plans. Not a good strategy imo. He needs to be thorough as an evaluator but has to be quicker and more open to offers. Offering 4-5 kids and focusing on them only is not good recruiting strategy. It didn't work this year and will not work next year. No DTs instate.

Elias. He just isn't a kid we like.Pure and simple.

What position does he play? Sounds like he is on commit watch.

He is a Texas lean but we have been recruiting him for a long time. We will probably find out more after his Texas Junior day. If he doesn't commit then, we should have a good chance.

He has said he wants to wait it out and take all his visits. I think he wants to announce at an AA game.

I think he will end up pulling the trigger for us before then.

DT recruiting is very concerning right now. It is going to be a big need and we don't seem to be targeting anyone.

I don't know. It's pretty difficult to replace a skill player that runs a legit 4.8

Defensive line has to be the #1 priority for the 2013 class. Les even said as much in his presser.

Well if that's the case they should be fine. He said that about LBers before this class and you see what he did there

I love of when someone posts assumptions and speculations as if were complete
Truth and they knew the staffs strategy.
