Anybody watching ESPNU?

This guy is not good. He has a terrible delivery and his mechanics seem way off.

Btw ESPN still has Gunner UNCOMMITTED lol

Didn't he dominate the elite 11. I'm sure Trent Dilfer and all the other guys who worked it have no idea what they are talking about.

We are only recruiting him so that if he fails at baseball he will remember the great rapport he had with Coach Miles.

I watched a few throws

He looks to be a little bit of a project with his throwing motion...

There is a reason he is in the dual threat category

Gunner will be the "pure passer " type with some mobility

Some people can only judge things in black and white. Either the kid is the best prospect in the world, or he's terrible.

Some people let their homerism get in the way of their opinion. Since the kid isn't going to LSU, he's terrible.

Some people are both of the above (see OP).

I've never believed Winston should be ranked the #1 qb and still don't. Hell I think Kiel is overrated(overall not particularly as a qb) but he's better than Winston. Winston has that moxie or "Bridgewater" in him and is a good athlete but he's nowhere near the qb that some of the other kids are. Zach Kline is eating his lunch this week.

Winston was Co-MVP of the Elite. He's not the top ranked QB in 3 out of the 4 major recruiting sites for nothing.

I saw his interview at the end of practice. I did not like him. Seemed immature and cocky. They said he might get a 7 figure baseball offer, like Weadeen did for Okie St.. Said he's going to Fla.St., but there was a chance at somewhere else. I took it as Bama, when he talked glowingly about his Bama high school.

I saw the same interview, and didn't get any of that. He's a first round baseball prospect and big time QB prospect. He sounded confident, but not arrogant.

His finger is pretty f-ed up though.

Well, when he was talking about playing with that finger with no feeling and bent out of socket sorta, I guess I took it wrong.

Sounds like Jameis is a fine young man who is thankful for the opportunities that he has. I wish him the best whatever decision he makes. It appears he has a good mind-set and it is obvious that he very well spoken. I cannot imagine the decision that is in front of him between football and baseball...
The money.... or the education.....
Difficult decision- yes and no...
