is this the most 5 stars we've had in one class?

4 already with Teuhema, Toliver, Guice, and Johnson. Why are people saying we are having an off year in recruiting? Numbers are low so far but we will fill it out to the full allotment by signing day.

Its a toss up on how these kids are ranked. obviously ESPN is bias to Bama, other than that our class could be #1 or #20 right for all I care... I just know we are filling big needs at RB and many other positions, and I love I current class. LF being #1 last year was buga for real, but like I said almost all the players the separation between top 300 and top 1500 is most times negligible.

How many did we get last year?

I thought it was more than 4 or 5.

2014 Recruits

The players listed as 3 DE's and 2 DT's. However Davon Godcheaux was moved to DT and started the whole year. Deondre Clark and Sion Tuehma both played some. We have Trey Lealaimatafao and Travonte Valentine coming up from redshirt and some kind of academic issues respectively.

Since Trey and Travonte are huge, Davon may be able to play DE again, but he would be our big DE. Plus we still have Hunter playing. Who knows what the Front 7 will look like. Right now we play a 4-3, I would think it stays that way, but we could play a 3-4.

Exciting...

It will depend on the DC. Pendergast will have Godchaux lined up at DE in a lot of his rush packages where there's really am olb on the side of him and a nose tackle like Valentine on his other side.

We need to bring in a highly touted LB prospect.

You're looking at rivals. Rivals is done. 247 is the new standard. We have 3 5*** on 247.

From what you I have read, he runs different packages out of his base (like most) but I think his packages are different in LB/ DE from what we have. I think we may move a guy like Neal into one of the fundamental OLB/ DE spots. It's really hard to tell.

I think CP will use our personnel as wisely as he can - getting the most out of what we have, as far as how the talent is suited.

But I think it could be interesting the new types we potentially recruit, IMO.

I remember Scout having Michael Ford listed as a 5 *

Yes, a guy like Neal or Teuhema could move to an olb in his base. A guy like Godchaux would be a DE, but essentially playing an inside role similar to DT. Valentine and Trey L at nose tackle and Lacouture on the line on the other side of the nose tackle as Godchaux.

Rivals is not done. I agree that 247 is good however you cannot just throw out rivals and scout, who have a recruiting insider history. ESPN sucks for sure.

247 has Guice listed as a 4 star. I think it's safe to stick with saying we have 4 5 stars. They need to adjust their rankings, no way he is a 4 star.

Why so confident w Donte? He's announcing right after his UGA visit and really talks them up. Makes me nervous because the kid is electric

Just wondering what makes Rivals done. Anyone can answer but I still look at them before 247 even though I look at 247 too.

yeah after the all star game it's pretty much 100% that he'll get the bump

but it's pretty accepted to call a kid a 5* if any of the services have him ranked there

Guice will be a composite 5* after the AA game updates, same with Donte.
