Is LSU about to start a Bama-like NFL Draft roll?

we could get 3 guys in the 1st next year (sam, mingo, reid)
it seems that the NFL draft has become an annual celebration of the Alabama program. ESPN is doing a multiple minute segment right now on all of the Alabama picks. this has to help them in recruiting

It gets annoying how much Saban ball washing they do.
But next year with the three you mentioned to go along with Chris Faulk, Tharold Simon, at least one RB, and possibly Bennie Logan, that's a lot of guys to go in the first few rounds.

On the NFL Network, Les just got to talk about a backup DB (Brooks) being drafted in the 4th round.

we have to win it all next year. This team on paper is the greatest I've ever seen. The only regret is not getting reuben Randle back.

Exactly. While espn continuously blows Bama, lsu gets love on NFL network. Lsu will have 4-6 first rounders next year. Every mock I have seen has Faulk, sam, mingo, and tyrann. I also think Eric Reid will end up a top 15 pick and hurst and tharold have a shot to work into the 1st round.

We could have the most 1st rounders ever for 1 school next year if things fall right.(honestly don't know what the record is but it can't be more than 6). Not saying it will happen but it could happen.
Montgomery-lock
Mingo-lock
Faulk-near lock
Mathieu-someone will draft him in the 1st round
Simon-if he plays well this year. His measurables are as good or better than Stephon Gilmore and he's a better athlete. Gilmore was an average player so a good year means Simon can fly up boards.
Logan-I've called it for months,this kid will be drafted in the 1st when he comes out.
Reid-some people absolutely love him. Only takes 1 team to like him enough to take him. Has better upside than Barron
Hurst-I've seen sites that project him as a possible 1st rounder. He's got the size and talent.
Mettenberger-if he explodes, his talent level and the NFL panic and reach for qbs could land him in the 1st. He has as good or better tools than every qb drafted the last 2 years aside from Newton,Griffin and Luck.
That's 9 guys that could be drafted in the 1st round. Obviously not all will be and it's no lock that all of them come out(Hurst is the only Sr in the group) but all 9 have a reasonable, realistic chance to be drafted in the 1st round. We are fricking loaded with talent. I know it's a dream but imagine if all those kids return for their Sr years. Best team ever is possible.
Haven't even mentioned Micheal Ford. He has 1st round talent but the rotation will kill him unless he kills the workouts. He's better than some of the 1st round backs taken over the last few years.

The talent on next year's team is just foolish. CAN'T WAIT.
To think that it's not at all out of the realm of possibility that we will be starting 3 first round Dlinemen and 3 first round Db's is astounding.
Will the 2010 LSU DB group go down as the single greatest position grouping on any team in CFB history? 2 top 10 picks out of that bunch already, with 4 drafted in the top 4 rounds.

I doubt it. ESPN and Saban have a great relationship and your damn right it helps with recruiting.

yeah they did. That along with Brady Quinn's fall were the two biggest stories of the draft.
Was it this big a deal? not quite, but we also hadn't won the NC that year either.
Wasn't that the same year that Corso said LSU could beat the Colts? That was the height of LSU love as I remember it. We were the annual "best team with x losses EVAR"

Add Faulk, Mathieu, and Logan if they all come out. That could be 6 in the first round. Would be amazing.

This even gets me more excited about next year. Look at all that talent! If Mett stays healthy, with Landry, Beckham, and hopefully Shep and then add all the RB's we are loaded!!!
