Trust me,these appreciate the good fans, but also recognize the growing number of outspoken idiots. I think this will cost our program in the long run.

Right, kids are going to decide where they go to school, not on the coaches, facilities, quality of program, how they fit ect, they are going to decide based on fans they will have little to no interaction with at all.

what do you mean? I know there are idiots on FB and twitter that post stuff to or about these guys. If its more than just a few people, then there is no way they could read it all. do you honestly think a kid os going to say, you know I really like coach Miles, Coach Cooper, Coach Chavis, I think I could get a lot from those guys, but I'm going to go somewhere else because Bodreaux69 on twiiter 'dised me an was mean?

Elleshoe, man I've felt the same way for the last year.

I think the staff needs to make more public announcements restore the prestige of the whole institution and how they could all become hometown heroes once they leave.

lsu can't do anything about it. it's their background/up bringing.

check out the cats who've handled themselves in that way, jackson, ryan p, collins, davis, ect. and look at their backgrounds, explains everything.

It's hard to comment on anything Bama without someone saying "Bama's in your head". But realistically, they've won 2 NC's recently and have many recruits have sugarplums in their head about playing for Bama. It's simply the "thing" to do - right now, even at the expense of LSU.

The thing is, as Bama's national recruiting machine continues to roll, they will get more and more selective about who they want. They offer everyone, then cool on many.

This player is around #97 4 star nationally on 247, not exactly LC status. Bama has 2 5stars coming in a both WR and S this year. I presume they will be going after 5 stars at the same positions this year.

Like any other LA recruit, you go after them early and do due diligence. Offer them. If they then want to play games or look around, that's fine. But then we go OOS to find an equal or better player hard at the that position and offer them, if they commit, then we cool on the LA player.

Only then will they realize, hey, we're not ending up at Bama or LSU, so we better get serious and start using good reasoning about choices. When a kid from LA is wearning Bama gear, or tweeting, it's time to get someone else OOS who's into LSU. The earlier we stop pandering the better.

You dont understand how some get worked up for him? You are an idiot, Anyone bashing this kid or anyone thinking this kid is not a top 3 player in the state is a dumbass. He has won 2 state championships in 3 years. He is a leader, a great kid, and comes from a great family. He will be a stud in the SEC. Quit trying to downplay him cause he has not committed to LSU.

I don't doubt the kid's talent I just wonder how the rest of Tiger Nation is going to feel if he goes to Bama.

No one is saying he's not one of LA's top players, but he's not the best player at either position nationally either. I'd love to have him at LSU, but obviously he's not as wild about LSU on the surface as Bama.

In that light, we should probably cool on him and look for a better player on a regional or national scale, and wish him well. There should be no hate either way if that happens.

LSU just has to stop wasting resources when there is smoke colored anything other than purple or gold coming from LA recruits....

Um no we'll be fine. One thing we have plenty of options at this year is DB

Also if you haven't figured it out, we replaced Collins with Thompson.

"Tiger nation" needs to stop crying

If he wants to go to Bama, that's ok. There are plenty of kids that do want to be a Tiger.

The lights will still come on in Tiger Stadium.

Dude...will you stop coming on here saying that bullshite.

People say what they do because he HIMSELF is saying shite about Bama. He tweeted like crazy in the NCG and was making fun of LSU fans. He says he and his mom are Bama fans.

NO shite EVERYONE IS GOING TO SAY HE IS GOING TO BAMA

What has he said in any interview that makes you believe he'll be coming here anyway? If he likes LSU, maybe he should show some more respect instead of laughing at everyone on Twitter during the game.

He hasn't said one thing about LSU to make any fan optimistic he is coming here.

this is a load of BS.

a) if Diarse is basing his decision off of anonymous message board posters...well, there are much better ways to assess a school and approach your recruitment.

b) everyone wants him to be a Tiger, but he hasn't exactly endeared himself to LSU fans. By out right cheering for Bama in the NCG and slamming LSU, I'm not sure what else he could expect. Root against LSU in their biggest game of the year? That is a strike.

c) see b, but if Diarse "loves LSU the school" but loves "Saban the coach" I guess he cheers for coaches and not schools? That is a strange way to approach fandom that I've never seen before.

I personally have never slammed John but he did slam LSU and LSU fans during the NC. Tweeting stuff like LSU fans were silly to think they had a chance and things like that. I mean how do you think people on here are going to act towards him. You keep acting as if he is being mistreated.

If John loved LSU he wouldn't have tweeted that shite. Would you tweet that stuff about LSU?

He has wanted to go to Bama since he was a sophomore, and he still wants to and they are looking at him as a DB not WR
