Oh no you can't get a job here you went to Bama.

I always thought this was stupid. He could get a job in alabama after. J. Lee's from Texas, but I bet he could get a job in Louisiana if he wanted one.

geez tiger nation would go crazy if we lost another highly rated safey

Kid wants to go to Bama let him go. Would not upset me in the slightest. I want kids who want and appreciate the chance to play for the great institution that is LSU and play under Coach Miles. There are plenty of top flight kids and we will have top recruiting classes here no matter if one or 2 kids just have a desire to play out of state. There are people in Tiger nation that just have a severe inferiority complex that the slightest bit of negative news and the sky is falling. Stand up tall and have a little pride in yourself and your school. It is a priviledge to get a scholarship offer to one of the top 5 programs in the nation. Fans need to realize this and carry themselves that way.

...even if one of those programs happens to be in your home state.

diarse is good. no way to tell if he will be a loston (average to this point) or brockers
(first round pick with as one year starter).

he is not in the category of "can't miss" but few players are. he is CLEARLY unlike devall in that he comes to BR at every opportunity. LSU needs safetys so this is all about who SELL WHAT the best.

I agree. Diarse reminds me of Trovon Reed an outstanding high school kid that will be average in college

ESPN doesn't create an aura for Bama. Winning 40+ games and 2 national titles in 4 years does. LSU has been on ESPN just as much as Bama in the past year.

You're right, its the winning. They did not talk about Bama circa 2003-2004. But they do help build an auora. Its certainly not a "conspiracy", like the sit there and say we hate LSU and want Bama over them, but they help shape the perceptions. Saban is portrayed as the brilliant coach (which he is) and Miles is portrayed as a goof. Bama and Saban have earned the props, but hyperbole builds it up even more. Bama's the it place, they win, they have Saban, the recruit lights out, so kids want to go there. It feeds on it self.

seems like a lot of Louisiana kids don't have much loyalty to their home state

Or maybe we are not targeting the ones that do?

i think he runs a 4.7 so i am not sure if wide receiver is the best spot.

i think this kid must have a high football Iq or something because it must be some reason the coaches want him so badly

I personally dont see how you could tweet the things he tweeted about LSU during the NC and then turn around and come play for them. I know he has said he is wide open and doesnt have a leader but how could you be excited about LSU loosing, even clowning other people who were pulling for LSU then play for them. I just dont see it. I think he is going to be one of those kids who wants everyone to follow his recruitment and that doesnt happen if everyone already knows who you want to play for.

I appreciate the input so needless to say most fans don't want him?

What would be really bad if we lose some of the other really good under the radar guys and diarse decides to go to bama. Not saying we need him because he's no landon collins, but to lose ohter good recruits waiting on him would be really bad

Yea I don't personally see why LSU is so high on him. He doesn't have a natural position it seems. He doesn't have good speed either. I personally wouldn't waste much time on him as I don't think the kid comes here. I also think this has been LSU's problem last year putting to much time in effort into kids who were most likely not gonna come here at all and it burned us will we go this route this year time will tell.

Maybe the irrational, hateful, racist fans in Bama are seen as less of a problem then the homegrown la fans. Maybe the grass seems greener when you aren't so close to it. Trust me,these appreciate the good fans, but also recognize the growing number of outspoken idiots. I think this will cost our program in the long run.

Do you mean this as in "he is not nearly as talented"? Just trying to figure out your angle here.

Yea man not sure why you would make your post towards me nothing is irrational that I said. Get the sand out of your vagina. Its been reported that he isn't a tiger lean so what the f are you talking about?

Those who follow recruiting saw Miles spent a whole lot of time with Collins last year, now could some of this time be spent on other prospects I think so. Maybe they knew they could flip Corey Thompson so easy and thought this is why they could get Collins who knows. That extra time could have been diverted to another d line prospect. Same with Denzell Devall he never lead our coaching staff on most knew he was going to a 34 d because that is what his measureables were best fit for. Could we have used Chavis visit to another d linemen because we all know its rare for Chavis to get out on the recruiting trail. Argue with someone else that can't back up the stupid shite they say buddy might serve you better.

LSU is something like 24-3 the last 2 years. best record in college football. toughest schedule in college football. 2 of 3 losses to eventual national champions in each year (beat 2012 champ. at their place). no. 1 in preseason polls this year.

LSU SHOULD BE A VERY EASY SELL IN LA. AND TEXAS.

I was going to ask what his 40 speed is, and saw the thread saying it is in the 4.7 range. That is extremely mediocre speed for a DB-WR type and would support those who say he may reach his peak in high school & only be a mediocre at best, college player. It looks like Louisiana is loaded with great prospects for the upcoming 2012 high school season so it does not seem he would be anywhere near the level of Landon Collins.
