We will not have any recruiting studs on the staff if he leaves.

great recruiter, but we can move on.

I will hurt more since we will probably let our WR coach go too.

behind chavis and cooper i think porter is the best coach on the team. i've liked the way our rb's have played under him for the most part, and our offensive lines hasn't done him any favors this season.

no doubt our best recruiter, and it will be tough to find a replacement for him.

RB's are not the problem and have never been the problem.

Who does Porter have stashed in his hip pocket to take to Memphis?

Porter is a great recruiter no doubt, but his RB rotation has been puzzling to say the least over the past several years. I think we could replace him if we looked hard enough.

If he stays, awesome. We'll keep dominating in recruiting and the backs will continue to develop. If he leaves, I'm behind him 100% and wish him the best of luck. He's handling this with total class by refusing to comment and focusing on what he has ahead of him this season.

Will hurt recruiting, but help overall. When your positional coaches are getting offered HC gigs, that's a damn good sign

if it hurts recruiting it can't help overall. first rule - to win in the SEC you must have the best talent. thats recruiting. coaching is important but you can't coach your way to SEC title you have to have the top notch talent. WE
NEED PORTER.

If Porter leaves, yes it might hurt recruiting some this signing class. However Miles has made good hires in the past, Even when Jimbo left, I believe that Miles would do the same here. As far his couching the RB, I have never once, in his five seasons here, thought the running backs were couched up for any game. IMO we would get a much better RB couch in here.

I don't think he's going there, we gave him the title of assistant head coach so he'd wanna stay here for longer. I'm pretty sure he got a raise recently.

porter got RS who then got Loston, porter got Tolliver to name a few 5 star guys. you cannot replace that kind of talent with good coaching.

ps. he had to fight Florida and USC for Tolliver, and everybody for RS. not anyone can do that job. 2 time national recruiter of the year.
