That's funny! Don't let these folks tick-you-off! My theory is that big schools have more kids, therefore more good athletes, more depth, etc. But there are the best of the best at every level. Sometimes at small schools, there is more tendency to play kids both ways too.

Usually dads get on here hiding their true identites...trying to throw out feelers about their sons! It's humerous. You should help your son! Too many parents do little or nothing, then when their kids don't get recruited, they bitch about the high school coaches not helping! Terrible! You have made choices for your son and owe no one an explanation why. Enjoy the process...he has lots of ball to still play!

Thanks, LSUandAU. I don't let them bother me. It just amazes me how all of these folks on here are EXPERTS! I can look at the usernames of some of the people on here, and I know exactly who there are by what they say! I have done tons of research, and we are NOT depending on a coach or anyone else to get my son the exposure he needs. A lot of these high school coaches have their own agenda anyway, and most times it does not include promoting players with lesser talent from their team to college coaches. They will latch onto the best one or two players on the team, and let the rest fall by the wayside. I've seen a lot of high school kids that could play at some level beyond high school and get a free education (DII, DIII, NAIA). But, they make the mistake of thinking their coach is looking out for them and will help them get into a college/university. History shows that doesn't happen. We have done the NUC and Nike camps/combines for the last few years. Now we are gonna concentrate on actual college/university camps this summer.

I know you're only a father of one of the players, but how do think the team will do in the upcoming season?

It kind of seems like you do.

Unless I missed something the main thing that set you off was someone saying that 2A doesn't have as much talent as AAAA/AAAAA. There are lots of exceptions but on average this is true. Yes there is lots of talent on the A/AA levels. Along time ago I coached oline at a small school in Texas for two years. Our district sucked so we would play a couple of games against schools a level or two above us to prepare our kids for the play-offs.

The other thing that by many posters said is they would love to see your boy play for LSU. This board can nit pick a Rivals 5 Star players film to death so take this as a huge compliment.

With the explosion of interest in recruiting due to Rivals/Scout/247 etc the inevitable negative side has grown also. You have to take the good with the bad. This happens everywhere.

I never coached a kid remotely as big or talented as your boy. As long as he keeps his grades up, his weight down and his nose clean he will be fine no matter where he ends up. Just keep improving his flexibility and agility. Good job dad.

Isn't Episcopal losing quite a bit? I know they still have their two WRs, but I know quite a few will be gone.

UHS has a lot of the playmakers returning but will need to replace some of the meat and potatoes guys in the lines. I haven't heard whether or not coach Coopers son is moving to Tampa but he will be hard to replace if so.

From what I saw with EHS, losing Henry, Delacano and Harris will be tough. Rumor is they have a quality QB from Texas coming in.

That's more or less what I thought. I have family that plays at Dunham, so I try and keep track of them and other BR teams.
