I just saw an earlier thread about the players at U-High. One of the players mentioned at the beginning of the post is my son, Garrett Brumfield. He and a few of his teammates are excellent football players. We are looking for them to build on the success they had this past season. I'm adding a link to his highlights, if anyone is interested in watching. Garrett Brumfield's Highlights. The team's season highlights are on youtube as well.

Thanks. He's only 15 yrs old. He was a TRUE sophomore this year. He has some time left to get bigger and stronger.

My son plays at Uhigh and I have had the chance to meet Garrett. I always feel the best way to judge a man is by looking at his son. The first time I met Garrett he walked in looked me eye to eye and firmly shook my hand. It was very easy to see that he is a high character kid. He has the physical tools to go a long way, and when you combine his skills with his character, the sky is the limit.

yes, and next year my middle son will be on the team too. Jakes up to 215 lbs now and younger brother is 235 so he will hopefully be lining up next to Garrett at some time in next couple of years.

I absolutely LOVE the way Jake runs the ball!!! The first time I saw him lineup in the backfield, then run over a linebacker I asked Garrett who is was. Jake plays the way I feel a running back should play. Anyone that dares to step in front of him he makes them pay dearly!!! LOL! If I were coaching he would have been my starter, hands down! I look forward to watching him for the next couple of years!!!

Good looking young player. Looks aggressive. 280lbs bench isn't bad at all for a kid that size at that age.

Does he play basketball?

Two words of advice- work on his flexibility (it will help him play low/with leverage which any lineman can always improve), and tell him not to go to Bama's junior day.

wildman-I always meant to ask your son if his Dad happened to go to Lee High School back in the day. He certainly looks a lot like a classmate of mine did when we were in school. And I echo-fine young man-my son that played alongside him speaks highly of him. All the best for his path to playing at the next level.

just a bump to say nice showing for Garrett at the nuc combine. He made the Top Prospect Candidate list for Sophs.

6'3.5'' 265lbs 40-5.38 shuttle 4.64
bench 19 reps with 185 verticle-26.5

nice work and keep growing into that size 16 foot GB.

He's competing in the NUC Five Star Showcase this weekend at Zachary High School. It's an invite only event. Hopefully he does well again.
