Of course Bama is a very attractive program considering the success but, don't kid yourself into believing Sabans time at LSU doesn't help with LA kids.

Also it seems Bama fans are getting frustrated with the material being posted on this board, there's a simple fix for that.STF off of it.

Good try. Pendry was an offensive coordinator in the NFL for almost 20 years.

Both Pendry and Stoutland had actual, extensive success coaching offensive linemen. Cristobal's track record as an offensive line coach is still mediocre.

Oh I know, but Burton Burns also helps recruiting in La, just like we are targeting and have landed a few impact guys out of Cali after Saban hired Nussmeier as OC and Greg Brown as DB coach, both guys with west coast connections

Your staffs ability to recruit is always about their connections

I realize that and I will always contest though that Saban and staff always goes after the prospects they think are the elite and fit the offensive or defensive mold and will be an asset to the program whether they live in Cali, Boston, Florida wherever

He coached TEs I've said this already

Meh 12 yrs......20 yrs who's counting

Only great job he did was 95 - 97 with the Panthers and again his last stop as the OL coach for the Texans was atrocious

Pendry had a lot of experience, but Stouts experience is about the same coming in minus the couple years as a HC which last time I checked was a great indication that someone else liked his coaching ability enough to hire him to start the team's inaugural program

Bama will be fine

Just saying I don't blame the kid if he thinks BAMA is the best decision for him.

From a football fan perspective your assertion has some merit, but from the view of pedagogical teaching styles, it is a fact that teachers who use fear, humiliation, and intimidation to teach do damage to their students. Those motivations -- or the avoidance of same -- can be effective, but the damage to the human psyche is significant, especially the foundations of authentic self-esteem. Athletes who are attracted to this style are already afflicted with false foundations for their self-concept. It is fundamentally unhealthy. Saban has anger issues and no anger management skills. All students learn lessons quicker if their attention on the subject at hand is not split by irrelevant distractions -- like someone in their face angrily screaming at the top of their lungs. That is a simple fact. The athlete who seeks this out is already in psychological trouble and the last thing they truly need is a Saban. There are lots of people with flashy rings who are psychologically screwed. The student-athlete may be served athletically, the student, not so much.

Coaches like Dale Brown and Les Miles continue to be positive influences in their players' lives long after their playing days are over. Saban's style only offers negativity; when his players are done playing, there's nothing positive there because there never was. Looking at his ring as he browbeats his kids does not count.

Cam Robinson the football player may believe going to Bama is the best decision for himself. Like many decisions made by 17-18 year-olds, Cam Robinson the person will suffer the consequences of that unwise, unhealthy choice.

So much mad for posting objective fact.
eta. All I'm saying is if he went to BAMA it wouldn't be something that would be completely shocking and dumb on the kids part. If he came to LSU, he would be making a great decision also. Just saying I don't blame the kid if he thinks BAMA is the best decision for him. Recruitards need to grow the frick up when it comes to shite like this.

My problem isn't with a recruit, it's with people who post here and make statements like you did.

In the end if CR feels Bama is where he wants to be then it's his life and his choice and I respect that.
Talking shite on our coach and players on our recruiting board crosses a line that should never be crossed.

Oh, and I wanted to add I don't believe in all this "silent commit" bullshite. I think "silent commits" if they exist are worthless. If you want to commit to a school just do it. So, I don't believe CRob is a "silent commit" at all, its probably just BOL trying to stir shite up which is stupid and sad.

How the Hell did we let Saban go again? We should have thrown the kitchen sink at him and given him the keys to the state

We made him the highest paid coach in CFB and did pretty much everything he asked for. He was just bound and determined to go the the NFL. He interviewed with the NFL while he was at MSU but did not have the record to get full control. Unfortunately for us, he realized pretty quickly that he preferred the college game and the SEC in particular, and came back for the best job he could find, which sadly was Alabama. It's ironic to me that he is such a great recruiter and evaluator of talent at the college level, but did so poorly as a GM in the pros. Maybe if he'd taken Aaron Rodgers with the #2 pick instead or Ronnie Brown, he'd still be there

If you read the kids twitter he consistently rebutles rumors every time they begin to swirl. He even takes shots at people who believe rumors and stupid things. If he's lying he's lying. He may be playing LSU. Or he may not, but I'm sure all this ridiculous overreacting isnt helping. Let the process play out before y'all cause more damage for LSU then good.

You are correct it would be great to let the process play out. But it goes back to that old adage "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me." No one has to look to far back to show what Bama is capable of just look at LC and his girlfriend's hire by the Bama athletic dept. Does that mean LC was not always going to Bama, no it does not. But I don't think you have to be a genius to figure it had a big influence in his decision when you look at his mother's reaction on TV. So when we start to see similar things going on with Guice's influence with CR and the fact that Guice is employed by Bama for summer football camps just proves that Guice can not be unbiased in his recommendations and his advise will be centered towards personal gain instead of what is best for the recruit. Getting suspended by a governing body for a year from coaching is a big deal and should be considered as such. Guice was suspended for trying to help Cam R. on a trip to Bama, if that doesn't open your eyes than nothing will. Waiting until something is too late, is not the way to approach things when you have been burned in the past by the same group of people "Bama."

Look I don't think anyone should go around bad mouthing a recruit and we should be as absolutely positive as humanly possible when it comes to Cam R. and the possibility of CR signing with LSU. But to tell people to stick their heads in the sand like an ostrich and not say anything in fear of offending someone, the only thing that will happen is that will allow people to run around and whack you in the . That is not the smart way to approach things.
