sucks that Harris struggled so much cause his arm is rare, but Etling's success will really help keep Brennan, Lowell & the WR's we have committed on board

Totally agree with this 10000%

Yes!!! Being associated with Stanislaus I watched Dylan Favre play live. I saw Bret Favre play at Southern Ms and Oak Grove live. I have seen Shay Patterson while he was in HS. I went to the New Orleans Elite 11 competitions 2 years in a row and in that time I watched 200 plus HS QBs from around the country compete head to head. Brennan was voted the #2 QB this year at NO behind some kid from GA that I haven't heard of since. I watched a lot of film on Brennan compete head to head in both LA and in Oregon against the best 12 HS QBs in the country. And from what I have seen and from objective scouts that were there he was the best all around passing QB on the field. I know Tua won he competition and he is good but no where near as polished as Brennan. Also Brennan has earned every accolade he has ever recieved. He is not media created his notarirty has come from accomplishments and results on the field. So yes, he is the best HS QB I have ever seen play... That includes Hunter Johnson, Tate Martell, Fiellepe Franks and Shay Patterson......

I attended Stanislaus and I live near the school so once in a while I go watch practice, talk to a couple of the coaches that I know and I get to talk to Brennan periodically. I go to all the home games and most nearby away games. I have probably watched Brennan play at least a dozen times in the last 2 years alone.

No disrespect to Brennan because I'm ecstatic that he's coming, but why is everyone writing off L. Scott??? Dude is a winner, and can ball... we are gonna be fine at QB for a while

I also went to the school of characters...lol...but that does not color my vision on this...study the film!....I think that Brennan has all the "must have" qualities of a dominant QB...vision down field of many receivers, instincts in the pocket, quick movement of feet and scrambling ability, adapts quickly to circumstances, savy,etc...only question for me is his frame and size...may take two years to get his muscle mass up to par for the SECW...jmho...his arm has already spoken volumes, wouldn't you say...

He is 6'4" 186lbs. He is 17 years old. He will play for LSU at 210lbs+ and quicker than we think...

The quickness is one of his most impressive assets...what really got my attention was in his film he was facing to the right and felt pressure, then he completely spun around without stopping and reversed his direction back to the left and found receivers down field...all I could think was WOW!

I think the coaches finally realize that it's a numbers game. Get 6, 3 and 4 star Qbs here and let it ride and see who comes out. RS others let them learn get a couple more then get some transfers or JC guys. Mix them all up and see who comes out. I wouldn't even give up on Harris just yet. This year maybe but next year and the next you never know?? Let these guys really learn your offense and always keep veteran guys here especially at QB. In this system all it takes is one good year of showing and you will be drafted if you look good. The more veteran QBs we have the better we will be with competition.

All Harris really needs to do is calm the frick down and play ball and he really could be an amazing QB at some point imo. GT

If Harris were to learn how to move in the pocket trust his instincts he will be ok he needs more time to calm down and look and learn from a different perspective. Learn with zero pressure on him and really become confident in what he needs to do. Imagine him using the pump fake and his eyes to move safeties and backers. Then knows when to tuck and run also. He could be flipping dangerous when he knows what he's doing. He obviously doesn't right now so it's just not his time but he needs to stick around and just be patient. Learn from Etling and come back next year and possibly help us in situations. Brennan will need a year or two at least one so that's perfect he could come in his second year as RS frosh and either help one of the other QBs or take over.

Exactly... intangibles and intincts you cant coach and no one picks it up watching from the sidelines. You either got it or you dont....

Brennan has drawn recognition as a potential pro prospect where as Scott though having a accomplished HS career is viewed as a college project rightly or wrongly.

I was just busting your balls earlier, but we are in total agreement here. I don't think there's any chance Harris comes back next year unless something goes way sideways with Etling before the season ends. Wouldn't surprise me if winds up at LA Tech--it's close to home, and they've had success with transfer QBs. He can either graduate early and play in '17--I'm pretty sure their current QB is a senior. Or he could redshirt during his sit out year and play '18'as a 5th year Sr. I hope he stays, but will pull for him no matter what. Seems like a really good kid, though may need to grow/nut up a bit soon. I wish him the best.

And I was an avid Jefferson supporter myself. There were some of us, but we were few and far between.

Brennan is a 175-80 Composite 3 Star with talent. Both are accomplished HS QBs. The knock on Scott is his height. Brennan's knock is his slight frame and level of competition. He hasnt picked up a single offer since May. Both he and Scott are projects. But there is a reason his recruitment has been slow cooking.

I'd be content with the staff bringing in a guy of his own choosing. At present, the names being passed around have not offered Brennan either.
