Great news to come home to after a day in the hot arse sun. Great job by Les, Stud and the rest of the staff.
Barton Simmons tweeted that he got info from his LSU source that Pocic's mom loves New Orleans and that helped in the cause. Always good to get momma on your side.
We'll have to hold on but I'm not concerned. He's visited everybody and yet we're the only school he decided to commit to. Makes me feel pretty good about his commitment. It's not like he hasn't seen or been on the campus of all of his contenders. Michigan is full on the OL(they should be anyway) and have the best OL class in the country. OSU will not give up but Pocic has been to OSU a couple of times already and still didn't pick them. Maybe he just didn't buy what Meyer was selling. Wisconson was the one I would've worried about but with Bielema's stance on poaching recruits, it's hard to see them continuing to push unless Pocic starts it. He's been to Bama and didn't commit among others. I'm good with his commitment and the solidity of it.

It's silly (and tiring) to try to link any given future recruiting success or loss to the MNC game, especially at this late date.
Any given recruit may have been won or lost because / or DESPITE the game.
Kiel is about as close as you can come with these arguments.
I saw nothing on 1/9/12 that helped encourage borderline recruits.

My bad, it's tough for me to keep up with all the ways Meyer has lied and/or tried to screw a recruit. Let's not forget that he pioneered the tactic of re-affirming a commitment shortly before signing day only to switch on signing day to screw that program. Lane Kiffen may have perfected it, but Meyer was one of the originators.

might just be my observation......but rivals sucks for never putting our big commits on thier front page ....they might end up in the small side part.......but after this commit and our recent cali qb it just shows their bias.....these are big names in a relatively slow time of year.....they should at least get a day or so face time imo

I'm just dropping numbers. Rivals has always been accused of bumping the numbers here and there to favor Alabama.
Alonzo Lawrence was fun times.
Anyway, like I said, Bama is having a banner year recruiting wise...they have been for the last few years.
I still say Rivals' rankings are tops in the business. Until they get to Alabama recruits. The only people that it's not fishy to are Alabama fans. That's all.
