Fwiw I saw some tweets from him while he was on his visit and I got a good feeling about him after that. I alluded to it in the picnic thread

Is this payback for Max's 2nd favorite recruit of all time? JB Shugarts?

“Just they’re the top,” Pocic said. “They win ball games. I want to play at that level. I just felt at home with the coaches. It was great.”

Pocic talked with Studrawa about his decision.

“He was fired up,” Pocic recapped.

That's their excuse? Who doesn't have room for the #3 OT in the nation?

Also

Is there a conference that will ever come close to the SEC? How many Nattys can this conference win in a row?

We'll see. Michigan, USC, and Ohio St. all seem to be mowing them down on the recruiting trail.

Oregon and Stanford seems to be creeping in as well.

I suspect the streak will come to an end next year.

IMO, Michigan will be winning one soon. Hoke is one of the best coaches in the country. We'll see.

He says he'll make another visit for a game also. That should really seal the deal IMO

Impressive offer list.

Every B1G school. They will try to pry him away, each one of them. This kid is from one of the suburbs of Chicago, wouldn't want the SEC making any inroads.

it helps that prior to LSU he's already made several big visits to different school this Spring, including Bama, Auburn, Wisc, UF. Not sure about OSU or ND

Comcast Chicago article about how he was handling his recruitment

quote:

Over the Memorial Day weekend, Pocic plans to visit LSU and Auburn. During his spring break, he visited Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Auburn, Tennessee and Ohio State.

He saved the best for last!

quote:

What is he looking for? "A winning program, good tradition. I want to be comfortable with the coaches and players. I want to have a good relationship with them. I'm a left offensive tackle. I'm looking for a school that can prepare me for the next level," he said.

We need to get 2014 OT Cameron Robinson early to team up with him in the future.

Steve must have busted out that secret sauce on his world famous ribs. I could smell it from inside the stadium at the concert.
