Good. We need to hold onto him as long as we possibly can.

I'm all for Orgeron doing this if he wants, but I think recruiting coordinator should be someone who is an off the field personnel person.

There's a lot of work involved in recruiting coordinator.

that's not my point. I never said he wasn't capable. I just want a larger off field personnel staff at LSU similar to Bama.

You're being defensive.

Isn't Mario Cristibal (sp?) their Recruiting Coordinator?

I think the Recruiting Coordinator has to be an on- the-field coach.

yes, I believe he is now.

but they have tons of personnel to support him. Again, I'm not saying he can't do it. Just that I would like a larger analyst staff to support him OR that we hire someone to solely handle recruiting coordination.

Orgeron is the DLine coach. That is 3 starting positions and a rotation. It isn't like he is the D-Coordinator or anything. He can handle it.

Simply a title on a piece of paper. Orgeron reminds me of a politican. He is a great recruiter. I'm glad he's at LSU. I have no doubt that he will bolt on LSU at his first opportunity to be a head coach again. Again, I'm glad he's at LSU, but I wouldn't trust a word that comes out of the guy's mouth.

Don't know, but a more important fact is that it is a strong sign that Ed O will be here for a long time. You don't want an important recruiter - much less your recruiting coordinator - leaving in the next couple of years.
