Houston has things we can't offer him. Nothing wrong with that. Good luck to the young man.

Enormous pull for Houston. It will be interesting to see if he gets some guys to join him there. Good luck to the kid, I think he will dominate at the next level and consistently beat double teams with his explosiveness.

He will shine no matter where he goes. Good luck Ed but NSD is a long way away and you can always change your mind.

I think either his brother or cousin is there playing football and that was the draw there

And the kid also lives in Houston. Wish the kid the best of luck. Would have been great in purple and gold, but he made a good decision for himself.

Massive get for them considering they didn't have a 4 or 5 star last year and only two 3 stars. I'm guessing that was the case for the years preceding that too. Every time I saw that Houston was his leader I thought it was just the misdirection thing some recruits do.

Exactly, I can't fault Oliver for choosing Houston. Glad he made the decision now though.

I live in Houston and I can not believe he chose the Cougars over the Tigers. LSU's campus and athletic facilities are light years ahead of UH's.

He will be triple teamed over there

I hope we can change his mind but it doesn't look like that will happen.

U of H? If he eventually winds up there, I'm sure he'll get drafted in the long run, but that's not a school to go to if you want to be under the spot lights.

21 I agree, the NFL will find him if worthy. To his credit, he has never wavered on being interested in Houston and hasn't led anyone along.

Maybe the kid just wanted to go to Houston. People lol when kids choose LSU over other offers like Ohio St, USC, Texas, Florida, etc.

Donald Gage chose Houston over, Nebraska, Texas Tech and quite a few other power 5 schools. At the end of the day these kids go where they best fit and can make a difference.
The Oliver kid could play anywhere and make a difference. Coach Herman is shutting the boarders down in Houston and you cant blame him. He is a great coach and with Applewhite and a few others Houston will be contender. Good things are happening in that program

i dont think i will ever understand this decision...of course he may not have the chest to come here...a lot is expected from a dlineman here...may not be able to handle the hype

i still woory about him getting injured. he will constantly face double or triple teams. that can catch up with you over 3 years. he will get to the nfl regardless of where he plays but no way he will have the dl coaching or the competition against 5 star ol that he would have at LSU. it has to have a negative impact on his draft position.
