This is unacceptable role model behavior.

Also fwiw, pretty sure he's a volunteer coach. Told me he wanted to get into coaching and that's how he ended up where he is. He's not on staff as far as a teacher of any sort.

Did not hear what he said to ref. did hear ref warning him several times. Then after interference call, he said something to ref and ref threw flag and hat.

It was a heart breaking loss. The int with 1:30 or so left didn't help either. Felt bad for the qb.

He seemed nice to me. Rightly or wrongly, he crossed the line with the ref.

Me too.
To give credit where due, the VC receivers are the best I've ever seen in high school. And Early Doucet seemed to have great rapport with the players. I have to think he gets a lot of credit for that.

I regret saying it that way. Let me say it more honestly from what I know.
Early interacted with sideline ref. ref made clear several times that Early should either not address him in the manner he was, or not address him at all. That is what I know.
What he actually said, and what words of his triggered the penalty, I don't know.
