This former LSU stand out and NFL receiver now coaches high school ball. He must be good, because his team has one of the best receiver corps in the state. BUT . . , .

Early trash talks the refs badly. Recently he got called on it -- sideline penalty -- and cost his team the game. The head coach wrongly took the blame for the penalty in the press. What does he do?

What do you mean? You just said what he does. He coaches and talks shite to the refs.

About early and his trash talk? Put his arse in his place, dude already cost them one game, (according to OP, who could be lying).

Are you Early Doucet, and asking for advice?

I meant to say if you were the head coach, what would you do about it? Early is getting results but costing you yards, and at least one game.

You said he cost his team the game...

Then you said....

How and why would you trash talk the refs? Especially as a receivers coach?

Refs side with receivers all the time on pass interference calls.

If he's really doing that (and this is assuming the OP is not a lying douche), then he must be a complete moron.

I think it's more of an arrogance issue.

As a head coach, I would be pissed.

There is zero reason another coach besides the head coach should talk to the ref. Let the head coach do his job.

It was an interference call on the last drive of the game. The call was against the DB on Early's team.

All night the ref had been telling him, "talk to your players or head coach, don't talk to me." Those warnings got increasingly stern. Ref finally had enough on this call.

I think the HC was pissed, particularly since the HC was blamed for the call in news reports.

Are you the head coach? How do you have this much first hand info?

Sounds like something that should be kept in the team and not on a public forum.

The press blamed the head coach. It was Esrly's fault. It cost them the game.

I only do bennies this early, not meth.

From the stands or the sideline?

I have heard very little from my many nights in the stands.

Also, the head coach is too blame if he can't control his employee.
