I don't mind the coach saying what he thinks.

The kid shouldn't get a free pass for bailing on commitments to two universities and causing LSU to lose a commitment to a rival university because of his lack of follow-through.

Why would any other 18 year old be immune from criticism? Old enough to make the decision... old enough to be criticized for it.

Kiel can get used to it, because Kelly is going to be tearing him a new a-hole after every missed third down conversion soon enough.

I would have had no problem with Kiel deciding to stay close to home had he just let the coaches know before hand. I can understand and respect a kid that wants to be close to home, however, allowing the coaches to believe that he was going to be on campus for the spring semester and not show up was a complete bitch move on his part.

My father is a ND alum and they have always been the other school I pull for as long as they're not playing LSU. That said, I wish that young man absolutely no success even if the Irish suffer because of it.

I might suggest its you who should keep her mouth shut - at least until you ate sufficiently informed to speak. Miles comment on the video being circulated is being taken largely out of context.. Speaking before a highly partisan crowd Miles was praising Liggins for his highly publicised leadership skills with particular attribution to his girth, or "chest". Keil was simply part of the storytelling (and his comment imho were accurate). The entire footage is on the reveille website.

Les normally does a good job with this stuff. While it is usually best to take the high road and not say anything, I have no problem with people holding each other accountable. Recruiting has gotten WAY out of hand and soon a man's word is no longer going to carry any weight. Where are we going as a soceity?

In my opinion Les was more than generous with how he reacted to what was done. If my wife and I were engaged for a length of time, and we get to the alter and she bails on me, I think I would have had some choice words right then and there.

so why is it on national news like ESPN then? the clip ESPN had showed nothing about Les talking about Liggins, just about the chest thing with Kiel.

Again, I appreciate most of you people's support of the LSU program like nothing Miles can do wrong, but do you get how this portrays to the nation? He is a 18 year old kid who has the right to change his decision. I definitely didnt support his decision and thought it was childish doing what his mom wanted him to do, but he has the right to make that decision, but Miles bashing him, to me, was not right in the regards to speaking to the public about it.

Les always says something to fire the crowd up, i.e. F**k 'Bama comment one year. Most know to take that shite with a grain of salt. The fact is, young Kiel screwed LSU out of a great early-enroll prospect and there may well be some frustration showing because of it. The whole thing will be overblown as usual. BTW, he did know the camera was rolling and as usual, he didn't give a crap about that either.

Yep from what I understand the coaches didnt even know till he didnt show up for the first meeting. Caused a guy who wanted to be here to have to pack up and move out to a different school. Theres a right way and wrong way to do things. You expect your Qb to man up and do things the right way. He didnt. The guy has talent needs to work on that leadership. Liggins seems to have it.

Because ESPN likes to take stuff out of context to further a story.

Yes and Kiel also screwed us. Miller should be at LSU right now.

Kiel deserved it and really screwed us over.

Kudos to Miles.
