Since O has become recruiting coordinator LSU really is stacking up our offense and defense with quality individuals as well as superstar football players. Huge difference in the quality of footballs players we have IMO, forget stars just look at their film and piece it together. This is going to be some team in the future and he's just gotten started. Watch out if we start winning ball games while looking dominate doing it. I fully expect results to show very soon. GT

i think Aranda could hold a team under 20 points with random people out of the stands. So, give him all the defensive talent that's already and in place and this stellar recruiting class....

Beastly. Quote from Phillips:“After going to the Army All-American Game and going against some of the best guys in the country and having success I feel like it made me embrace competition,” He's got chest. Go to Rivals and check out his cover skills, impressive.

Does this mean Michael Divinity lines up at one of the Outside LB positions?

Likely going to be from L to R: Divinity, White, Phillips, Key

Down lineman could go a lot of ways, but starting out I see LaCouture at one DE, Gilmore at the other and Edwin Alexander manning the Nose.

young guys like Rashard Lawrence, Andre Anthony, Sci Martin, Ray Thornton are itching to contribute as well. My only hope is that we'll give Phillips, and Gay if he decides to be a Tiger, a fair shot to start over Donnie Alexander. He may be a vet but he's no MLB. Rather see him playing outside backer but in Dave We Trust, right?

If we can lure KC out of tx.... I thk he shows up pushing opposit key.... He is as quick and meaner than Divintiy now.... But mikes experience & added strength could be a slight edge presently.... KC puts in crazy wk-according to the vids of him

Yeah I think Lawrence is a better player myself. Gilmore has more experience at the 3-4 DE spot having played their last year. Lawrence played more in the middle when he came in last year, so I think he's on track to be a full-time nose tackle.

There is no way dude. We can't afford for him to go outside. We have like no depth at inside backer.

Does Phillips remind anyone else of Rolando McClain? He may have the frame & ability to play outside, but swallows people up in the middle. I would love for him to stay inside because of his ability rather than need.
