ATH
Devin Voorhies - S or WR - given WR numbers I bet he ends up in the secondary
Koda Martin - OT or TE - probably an OT prospect

What do yall think?
Theres bound to be more names entering the discussion. Who got left out in the list above/who will enter the discussion this summer and fall?

The numbers for this class is also an interesting discussion
How do yall see the class shaping up at each position?

QB - 1-2
RB - 2
WR - 4-6
TE - 2
OL - 3-4
DE - 2-3
DT - 2
LB - 3-4
DB- 5-6

Wish we could take more than 25. Theres a good chance we cant even take 25 though, that would be quite unfortunate.
Theres a possibility that we take 2 QBs, 4LBs...at least 4 Dl, at least 5 WR, at least 5 DBs, maybe a 4th OL.
So what position gets slighted? Who gets left out?
IMO I dont see us taking that many DL, some people like S/S see us taking up to 6. I think we take some DE like WIllis and DG who could grow into tackles, just like Herron and Bower. Others from the last class like Beckwith and Melvin Jones will play a roll in this years numbers depending if they stay at linebacker or end up putting a hand in the dirt

I was wondering the same thing. That is what it seems. I wonder if his projected position will have any effect on where he signs

What's the scoop here? Waiting for camp?

Will the numbers work against this guy? He's a tackling machine. 135 tackles last year.

Unfortunately, I see the numbers working against him. I doubt theres enough room in the class for alexander, rhaheed, young, and garrett. If something happens were we part ways with rhaheed or dont get the last two mentioned, then he could become a good possibility if its not too late and hes already on the A&M train

yeah good one. Do you see him as a RB? Or on the other side of the ball, LB? ATH, WR, etc.
Again, another dude I'd love to see in this class but with the numbers and him reclassifying its tough to see him making it into the class. He needs to work on the books a lot this summer to successfully reclassify, so that hurts his chances too as spots are going to be filling up and there wont be a clear picture on him until the fall.
I think Darrell williams is still a better prospect fwiw. How does he compare to DW in your opinion? Palelei and others for that matter too

Shorter is out. He tried to commit and we told him he had to camp. Whether he comes or not is up to him.

The scoop on McDowell is his weight, in pictures he looks like a LB. No where big enough for DT.

Pretty sure chavis wants him to work out at lb. But im guessing he has a lot of work to do in class room since he is trying to reclassify.

Yeah ht and wt are a concern. The staff is actually considering him as a DE, think he could be a DL prospect and if they take him then find a more definite position

that rubbed him the wrong way?
bummer if that's the case, wish he'd reconsider coming in to earn his spot in this class. especially since the staff is already high on him and williams and palelei still remain offerless. that says alot to me.

Correct, he was told to come to camp and hold off on a verbal.

But recently he released his top three and the Tigers were one of those three teams though...still sorta in the mix

Given numbers, I still Harris or nothing at QB. Do not want 2 QBs in this class.

I think that would be a huge issue, if he weren't all LSU from birth.

He's going to be a nasty S, IMO.

I think that would be a huge mistake. Part of the trouble we've had at QB is because they didn't sign enough. Yeah, we signed 2 last year, but chances are that one will transfer. What happened with Russell and Flynn (both staying) is unusual. You need to get at least 1QB in ever class and sometimes 2 to give yourself multiple options since some will bust.

To me the position you could scale back on a little is WR because there are some many top guys in 2015, we could afford to only sign 4 this year.

I would really like LF and Palelei. They would be a serious 1-2 punch in 2 years

I agree with taking at least 1qb each cycle. but with the numbers I kind if want to side with what was said earlier, take just 1 guy the cycle, hopefully Harris. But I still like Kizer a lot and think its good to take a couple signal callers...theres just so much other talent out there I dont want to turn down

I have a funny feeling that you're gonna get what you want with LF and Paleilei. Think Sione is gonna blow camp up.

Agree with the 2 QB thing but personally think Rivers is gone and 2 is needed for depth.

Pretty much feel the same about the class now as I have for most of the cycle. Same guys that we've all expected will be in with only the 2nd RB, the sheer amount of wrs and which one we don't get because there will be one and who the frick ends up as the DL class outside of Clark and Willis. The rest is pretty much gonna end up as we've all expected most likely. Just gonna be some headaches along the way because of the high profile of most of the kids.

fanva, like you I think we already know whos going to make up the majority of the class. There will be some surprises of course, we havent even hit summer or even football season. Its almost tough for me to consider these surprises though (there will be some, it happens) because this class already is starting to come together outside of the current commits.

On another note...anyone know what tony brown or dhaquille had to say about their stays in auburn this weekend?
