Yeah, I've been monitoring that roster. They just took it off. The rumors appear to be true. Huge loss.
He's no star, but would have given size and depth in the post. Basically, would have absorbed Storm's minutes.

We are going to have to play a lot like Mizzou last season. Hopefully some of these young guys can shoot. And JOB better be in the best shape of his life.

Not a whole lot you can do with timing of when Trent up and bolted
Hard to bring in someone like Godfrey with a drug issue when you just ran someone for a drug issue

Looking on the bright side, LSU will have a minimum of 5 scholarships available for 2013. Hopefully LSU can put together a decent season that will get some recruits excited. Either that, or sign them in the fall before the floor drops out from under us.

So we have 9 scholarship playees, 3 that were brought in by jones since may. Damn Trent did an awesome job.

Honestly, 2 of the guys brought in by Jones were coming to LSU if Trent was still here.
And who was kicked off the team for drugs?
3 of our guys were seniors, Hamilton is obviously not who you're referring to, Turner upgraded programs (surprisingly, considering his limited ability), and I thought Isaac was academics.
Like I said a few months back, I know people like Johnny Jones for now. I don't like the hire, but I will not hold it against Jones when this team goes 12-20 next season. I hope no one else does, either.

I didn't really like it at the time. Especially with the other names being thrown around at the time. However, with what CJJ had done so far, I'm warming up to him. I want to see what he does with this undersized team this season and what kind of class he can bring in next year. So far though, it's hard to complain about him.

He was hired late in the game so to speak and the momentum he built early has kind of fizzled out a little (Issac and Turner gone, Odah and Godfrey not making it to campus). Nonetheless, I hope LSU fans will give him some time to get this thing going in the right direction. Even if they struggle this season, should he be able to lock up some of the bigtime Louisiana (specifically BR) talent, then he has a chance to get LSU basketball turned around pretty quickly.

he sounded like a good guy who was ready to prove himself as such on his radio interview the day he signed. hope he gets it together and makes the most of his next chance.
