Went to the PG High School All American game yesterday and got to watch Blayne Enlow pitch. These games only let pitchers pitch for one inning too many on the roster and they try and give everyone some love!!! For anyone who cares he looks like a good prospect if he gets to LSU. Fastball was between 90-92mph hit 94 on one pitch when he was pissed. Had pretty decent curve ball, 12-6 type curve ball with pretty decent break. Has decent frame to build some good weight. Definitely a starting rotation guy if he doesn't get drafted to high.

He will be a top 50 pick as long as he doesn't piss away his senior year or get hurt. Can't imagine he makes it to campus

If the MLB draft was today, I disagree he wouldn't be a top 50 pick. He is a right hander and his fast ball is between 90-92mph and even though his breaking ball is good from what I saw he doesn't have outstanding breaking pitches, they are good but not special. But he is 10months away from the draft and if he gains another 2-4mph on his fastball then he has a good shot of making the top 50. But today, no way!!

Now does he make it to LSU, that depends on a lot of factors so we will see I sure hope he does because he has Friday, Saturday stuff written all over him.

You don't get selected to those type Showcase games without being a whole lot better than decent! But Lester something tells me you already knew that!!!

His fastball tops out at 94 and several scouts have said he has the best curve in the '17 class. From the looks of it he very much wants to be at LSU but who knows once teams start offering him $1M+

Saw him pitch in person against 3 time State Champion Barbe in the playoffs, and he was unhittable, they beat him on walks and errors. Sat around 90-91 MPH with his fastball and I would say his CB is a plus pitch!

He has the best curve ball in his class. Really hope he makes it to campus. Watched him against West Monroe last year. He lost, but it was not his fault. Errors cost them the game. He's easily the best pitcher in the state.

Hopefully he gets to LSU will be a good pitcher for us if he does. I can only tell you from what I saw in only ONE inning that he pitched. I saw him throw 3 curve balls in a 4 batter sequence and I didn't see "the best" curve ball in the 2017 class out of him. That honor "from that night only" went to this kid named "Kyle Hurt" he throws 93-95mph "that night" with a hard 12-6 breaking curve ball reminded me a lot like Strasburg's curve it just drops of the planet when it gets to the plate, plus he had a wicked change up. Just from that night I would say he was the best of the bunch. Again that is just from that night only.

Your the 2nd poster to state that, and it might be so. All I can tell you is what I saw but it was only from ONE inning pitched that is all they allow. Saw him throw 3 curve balls in that inning and they were good but no where near what could be called "best in the class." Again that is just from ONE inning and only 3 curve balls thrown. The best I saw that night was a kid named Kyle Hurt, he is a USC commit but no way in hell that kid goes to college unless he gets hurt "no pun intended" he will be 1st round pick no doubt about it. That kids curve ball is a 12-6 hard breaking curve literally falls off the planet when it gets to the plate reminds me of Strasburg's curve ball on top of his 94mph fastball and what he claims is his best pitch a change up, I think he will be a top 10 pick next year.

According to this, he would have one of the highest spin rates in the MLB. His curve might not move as much as other pitchers but it breaks incredibly sharp. That's why he has the best curve in this class.

Also he is 6'4 180 pounds, he's going to get stronger and add velo

Current velocity isn't an issue. High school arms getting drafted on upside and this kid has a ton of it. He throws a very loose and easy 91-92 which makes his value extremely high for his age

St. Amant.

Here's what you worry about - does his family lose everything in the flood? If so, he might not be in a position to turn down 2nd round or sandwich round money.

I hate thinking like that. But it's where we are.

Best pitcher from St. Amant since Ben Sheets. Different body make-up, but has all the tools.

Look I think he is going to be a great pitcher, every post that I have made states that. I also clearly state that I only saw him pitch one inning because that is all they give each pitcher in these showcase games. That being said his curve ball look good not great, again that is just one inning. Matter of fact the hit he gave up was a rope off his curve ball. That being said I am not dissing this kid in anyway he has good stuff and at 90-92mph on his fastball that is all you need to be very successful pitching.
