John/James Curtis have zero respect in my book even if he had 50 titles all of them were with superior talent from new orleans. Never Never Ever playing against the toughest level of competition in the playoffs. Until the LHSAA change If they would have played up to the biggest class they might have 4-5 titles max

The new coach at vermilion catholic in abbeville is going to be pretty good. The guy was the winningest coach in washington state history. I think they won 3 or 4 games last year with what amounted to a glorified middle school team.

Jim Hightower at St. Thomas More in Lafayette has over 300 wins at STM and CHSPC in New Roads, and 1 State Title in 1978.

Jim's an outstanding choice. Now if STM could just take a step farther and at least get to the Dome before he retires would be an accomplishment because he's done just about everything else at that school

Coach Cook,
Took Crowley High out of the gutter in the early 80's to powerhouse before he left for USL in '91. Came back my senior year('97 and with no "recruited Germans") and took us to dome in his first year. The very next year goes to Notre Dame and we all know his success there.
The idiot talking about the recruited germans doesn't know wtf he is talking about. There daddies all played there in the '70's. That is where they go to school. They would be there even if Cook wasn't there. He gets the most out of his players and if you spent even a couple days at summer camp like i have you would see how difficult their workouts are. Cook's teams win games in December because of the work done in june, july and august. That is his secret.

Is he really a great coach? He gets/recruits the best players from the Lafayette area which has outstanding players and still can not make it to the dome.

Chad Callais,The third year coach at Central Lafourche may be pretty special if he stays around for a while. I am origanlly from that area an played O-line for this guy in high school. He has brought the triple option to the bayou and the pride back to Central that was really high during the Bob Gros era. He was number 33 in power points his second year and then went to the playoff his third year. keep your eye on him

I haven't read the thread but i would say the ED White coaches must be decent. They're in the playoffs consistenly and play a bunch of slow white boys.

In the Baton Rouge area you have to include : Dale Weiner, Guy Mistretta, Kenny Guillot, Sid Edwards, and Neil Weiner
Lot's of good football coaches in this area

He gets the most out of his players

Its Red Franklin. Come on. Not even close. South LA bias in this thread is staggering.

Indest took a shitty Abbeville team and took them to the playoffs. took a shitty Crowley team and took them to the playoffs. took a shitty Kaplan team and took them to the playoffs. he will win wherever he goes.

yall think Joey Thibodeaux is one of those coaches who is able to do more with less?
No disrespect to those legends that came out like Cary Koch and Collin Ellis and the great talents there that went unnoticed, but in matchups they go against they may have been outmanned but played at a high level and won a title in 2004. That's great in this city
