When I lived in HollyGrove it was actually Fortier territory. However, my post is just aggravation at what recruiting has become. If a kid wants to leave state, so be it. We'll coach and win with who we have as we've always done.
I understand completely. Recruiting has turned into entertainment and it gets exhausting sometimes. I'm close to feeling the same way you do, just not there yet, lol...

I just see a lot of y'all considering him a lock to be in this class. shite, I've seen it in this thread. Did any of you learn anything from last year? Kids usually don't troll. It's like you're all so fricking delusional that you can't see what's right in front of your fricking face. And it's all because some "insider" told you he's a done deal. I was one of y'all last year. I fully believed our "insiders" when they told us about 5/5 and 9 5 stars. When are you going to realize that maybe, just maybe, our insiders just aren't that reliable? You don't even have to go back 5 days to see an instance in which they were dead wrong.

Kewl.

And I'm a pretty optimistic dude when it comes to anything LSU. I just think we might need to start believing what the kid says. Every kid that names an OOS team leader isn't trolling. We need to get out ofthat mindset. We cheer for a team that resides in one of the most talent rich states in the country. Recruiting has continued to become more and more national. Now teams that traditionally haven't recruited Louisiana much at all are coming in and challenging us for top prospects. Just look at UCLA last year. They took Kenny Young and were right there in the hunt for Chi Dupre. Now you've got Oregon and Clemson coming into LA with all their flash. We don't have to contend with just Bama or Auburn for a Louisiana kid anymore.

And one last thing on Tyron Johnson, I think we still have a shot, just not as good a one as many believe.

And to RAT, I'm sorry I called you count bruh. That was immature and uncalled for on my part.

"Clemson," Johnson said. "Clemson puts a lot of receivers in the league. Sammy Watkins is just one of them. They have a great offense to get playmakers the ball in open space."

Here is my retort to Mr. Johnson's above quote:

James Wright career stats at LSU:
25 catches 304 yards 0 TDs
Drafted 7th round-239th overall

Putting lots of receivers in the league??? Our fricking benchwarmers at WR are getting drafted!

I'm close with a HS coach and he has flat out told me how LSU has dropped the ball on a couple of his players over the years. I don't get it. What's crazier is LSU recruited and SIGNED other kids on the same team and still "slow played" certain players that were highly touted. How does that happen?

maybe the LSU coaches had other recruits that they ranked higher? They can only sign 25, they are bound to miss from time to time, but when you look at the # of players they send to the NFL, its kinda hard to say they don't know what they are doing when it comes to evaluation.

The slow play or out worked card is so over blown. You can not say that about any of the elite players (Collins, Robinson, Noil) etc that signed with other teams. It is also interesting that LSU is supposed to offer "earlier" but not other teams. WE offered Willie Allen 4 months before Bama, but Bama is his perceived leader.

I actually agree with you.
Coaches can't force kids to come here are even stay in state.
They have been at it long enough to know how to do it...

Tyron and all Louisiana players should read Lebron's letter about going home. When he chose Miami, he thought he was simply making the best choice for himself, but it's the way he did it. Dragging it out and Making it all about himself with no regard for all those Ohio fans who loved him. Did he owe them? No. Did he have every right to leave? Absolutely. But, he became hated by his home state and it made him sick to the core of his stomach. Now, he's going home, and I think it's great for him and his state. So, to La players who receive LSU offers: do what is best for you, and if you need to leave La. and spurn LSU, then okay, but don't drag it out and troll the staff and fans. Be respectful about because if not, it will come back on you later.

I really want to see T. Johnson in P&G!!! From what I've seen he has tremendous up side. Reminds me of OBJ athleticism with Juice Landry aggression. He along with the stable of running backs, Jazz, and hopefully Daylon is going to be one heck of an offensive class! I really feel we're going to be missing a good one if he doesn't commit!

Wow. You really swung for the fences with that post. It's college football. Perspective and all that...

I don't blame the kid for thinking putting up insane stats and winning awards = draft value. The problem is for every Watkins Crabtree and Blackmon there's tons of other kids on pass happy teams. I'd take my chance on a bigger program with NFL caliber coaching than someone taking advantage of the spread offense.

Also it's going to be tough to find a team with 2 2014 WRs the caliber of Dupre and Quinn ahead of him. I could see that being a tough sell.

Personally, I'd be fine if left. Don't want to scare off any of the 2016 wideouts.

I'd hate to lose Johnson. I wasn't like the others fawning over Noil and Williams last year. I'm actually glad we got neither because no way we get both Dupre and Quinn. I did however, want Blacknall and Melvin Holland.

I thought Johnson could push for top WR last year after watching his film. Hopefully we get him. If we don't, we need to lock down the top 4 WRs in state next year. Davis, Leflore, Jones, Sullivan.

The bullies have once again trying to take over the recruiting board. After the 5 for 5 you'd think they would have learned.

Maybe all bob barker is trying to say is Johnson needs to quit playing games and act like a real leader like Toliver.

I never said a player should play for LSU if it's not in his best interests; I said don't troll the staff and the LSU fans because I think they will regret it and I stand by my words. If you disagree, then fine.
